🦷 Why do foals chew on everything? 🦷

If you've visited recently, you may have noticed some of our foals have become very interested in nibbling absolutely everything they can get their mouths on 🙈

As foals grow, they go through teething just like we do. Exploring the world with their mouths is completely normal, and chewing can help soothe the discomfort of new teeth coming through.

It's also how they learn about their environment. Whether it's a fence post, a grooming brush, mum's tail, or an unsuspecting human sleeve, everything is worth investigating! 😂

So if one of the foals decides your jacket, hair or fingers look particularly tasty, don't take it personally... they're just growing up 🥹💕

Luckily this stage doesn't last forever, although we're currently spending a lot of time being used as giant teething toys! 🐴😂

We're not entirely sure where she comes up with them, but we have to admit some of them are pretty accurate 😂🙈

On Saturday there were lots of motorbikes going past the yard for Dave's Day... 🏍

Meanwhile Willow was more concerned about whether bath time was over yet 🛁🙉

Safe to say she's pretty unflappable and didn't bat an eyelid at all the noise 😌🫶

🎉 Pony Party Number 2 🎉

Yesterday we celebrated a very special 6th birthday 🎁

We started the day by heading down the field to meet all of the mares and foals, where everyone had the chance to give them a brush and plenty of fuss 🥹🧽

Then it was back up to the yard for a game of 'Pin the Horn on the Unicorn' 🦄 followed by decorating horseshoes for everyone to take home as a keepsake of their day 🎨

Of course, no pony party would be complete without painting Willow... and safe to say the children did not hold back this time! 🌈😂

Willow was an angel as always and took all the attention in her stride. She may have needed a bath afterwards, but we think she secretly enjoys being the centre of attention 💕☺️

This was our second pony party of the year and we loved seeing the children make memories with our ponies.

Bookings are open for the rest of the year, although spaces are more limited than usual, so please get in touch if you'd like to enquire about dates 🐴✨

💕🐴 Introducing Foal Number 10 🐴💕
And just like that... we think we've reached the end of foaling season for another year 🥹

Born on the morning of 18th June, this gorgeous little filly is out of Popcorn and by Flash.

She's bay with just a little splash of white, and although we haven't settled on a name yet, she's already making her presence known. She's a very sturdy little foal and definitely inherited plenty of substance — there's certainly no mistaking her for a dainty princess 😂💕

At the moment Popcorn is keeping her very close by, and this little girl seems more than happy to stay tucked up beside mum. That said, we have a feeling it won't be too long before she discovers that humans give very good scratches and abandons mum for a fuss 👀😂

This little girl is also Olivia's younger sister, so we'll be very interested to see if she follows in her big sister's hoofprints or develops a personality all of her own 👀🐴
