WHAT’S FOR DINNER?
Sometimes the hardest part of cooking isn’t the cooking — it’s deciding what to make.
That was very much in my mind when I created The Carrick Table – Volume One.
I wanted to put together recipes that people would genuinely cook at home — food that looks good, tastes great and doesn’t require a professional kitchen to produce.
Inside you’ll find everything from fresh starters and seasonal dishes to comforting mains, farmhouse baking and something sweet.
There are Chef’s Tips throughout, serving suggestions and QR codes that take you beyond the page to demonstrations where I can show you some of the techniques I’ve picked up over more than 35 years around food.
And something particularly important to me — I’ve also brought some fantastic local producers to the table, incorporating their ingredients into recipes throughout the book.
This isn’t a book I wanted sitting untouched on a shelf.
I want it open on the kitchen worktop, marked with a few splashes, with somebody saying: “I’ll make that one again.”
