What a night at the Carpenters Arms tonight,unfortunately so good were gonna have to cancel tomorrow as the grill was very hit and miss and to top my night off the jockey wheel collapsed on me and ive smashed my Father in Laws camera off his garage 🙄

The ketchup was inspired by a breakfast we had and we knew we had to turn those flavours into a burger.

Wow… what a way to turn 40. 🥂

The day started exactly where I wanted it to — coffee in our own kitchen, opening presents, only to find out my amazing wife had planned a trip to The Black Swan at Oldstead. And honestly… incredible doesn’t even begin to cover it.

But first, ice cream at The Abbey Inn — Tommy Banks’ sister pub. Although, in true birthday fashion, ice cream somehow turned into a smash burger.😂

Then onto Oldstead for an absolutely unforgettable experience.

And as if that wasn’t enough, I even came home with a piece of Tommy Banks history — some of his 14-year-old sourdough starter, Steve. So naturally, we now have Steve the Second living in our kitchen. 🍞😂

My beautiful wife absolutely smashed my 40th. ❤️
Good food, great memories, plenty of surprises and the perfect person to share it all with.
