“Golden blooms, warm Tunisian sunshine, and a busy little bee doing its thing 🐝🌼☀️
One of those simple holiday moments you never forget 🇹🇳✨

A thriving cell builder colony is the secret behind quality queens 🐝
Every larva on that grafting frame is being flooded with royal jelly by nurse bees — the difference between an ordinary bee and a queen 👑

🐝👑 A royal release!

After a week of careful introduction, it’s time to give this queen the helping hand she deserves. Out of her cage and into her kingdom—ready to lead the hive forward.

A little patience goes a long way in beekeeping ✨

Smoker’s lit, the weather’s doing its worst 🌧️—so there’s only one thing for it… time to get stuck in.

Today I’m introducing my new queens into fresh splits as I work on expanding the apiary 🐝 A bit of rain never stops progress—this is what it’s all about, building strong colonies for the season ahead.

First week of April and the hive is already bursting with life 🐝🔥

Packed to the brim with bees, frames packed solid with healthy brood, and multiple frames loaded with fresh honey… these colonies are in full swing already.

Spring has only just begun, but they’re not wasting a second — building fast, working hard, and setting the tone for the season ahead 🌼🍯

If this is how April starts, it’s going to be one incredible year 🙌

🐝 The bees are still on the fondant!

Even though we’re heading towards spring, winter clearly isn’t finished with us yet. The temperatures are still low and natural forage is scarce, so the colonies are continuing to take fondant to keep their energy up.

A good reminder for beekeepers to keep checking food stores — a hungry hive can decline very quickly at this time of year.

Hopefully the warmer days and first nectar flows aren’t too far away now 🌼🍯

When the delivery driver starts asking questions, you know it’s getting serious 😅

Stocked up and nearly ready for another buzzing season ahead! New kit, fresh frames, and everything the girls need to get to work 🍯🌼

It’s about to get loud, sticky, and very busy around here… just how I like it!

Who’s ready for honey season 2026? 🙌
