That's the brew day done.

Starting Gravity is 1.042 which, if I hit my numbers right, will match the commercial Murgy at 4.2%

I'm looking forward to trying this and (hopefully) doing a comparison sometime down the road.

It's that time again.....BREWDAY!!!

This time I'm brewing a clone of Murgy Straight by Four Priests Brewery. I'm also hopeful of eventually bringing a commercial vs homebrew comparison back to Youtube.

As always I'll keep things updated here as to how the brew day goes.

I haven't said this in a while.....

IT'S BREW DAY!!! (well, brew night)

starting off with a pale ale I call AMC Pale ale.

The name is 2 fold, for those of you that know, AMC has quite a deep meaning for me, especially this past year, plus the letters also represent the ingredients I'm using to brew this beer

Admiral Hops
Maris Otter Malt
Challenger Hops

Hi all

Please forgive the delay in uploading content on this page, I've been rather busy lately and haven't had chance to brew.

That said, I recently purchased ingredients for a Murgy Straight clone and a new Pale Ale recipe of my own, which I'm looking forward to brewing and trying.

Once I have the time, I will do what I used to post updates as and when I start my brew days. I may even restart brewing on camera again, so keep your eyes peeled

After 3 week, it's time to bottle my MoVie SMaSH

The final numbers are

FG - 1.006 for an ABV of 5.2%

I'm hopeful of this one being a good one once it is ready to drink in a week or 2.

BREWDAY!!

Brewed up a SMaSH variation of my MoVie Ale.

Starting gravity 1.046

I'm hopeful that this will be as nice as my MoVie Pale Ale. I may have to do a side by side later in the year.

As always I'll update the numbers and finalise my ABV as and when I can

Just over 4 weeks after brewing the Brown Porter, I'm finally able to get round to bottling it.

Final Gravity - 1.006
ABV - 4.7%

There was just a small amount of pellicle on top of the liquid, but I hope it won't be too much to throw off the flavours of the beer.
