So what’s ‘All The Noms’ all about then? All The Noms is all about making bangin’, full on, tasty brownies…simple as that! But how did it all start? Well, it’s a long story but the gist of it is that yours truly went and got himself oral cancer in 2022. Bit of a bummer really and after 2 operations, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and immunotherapy I was given the pretty boggin news that it was incurable. The outlook was pretty grim for a while there but due to a massive chunk of good fortune a new treatment I’m on has me in pretty amazing shape and the cancer is now getting its ass kicked (it’s been a literal life saver), phew! But what to do with a lot of free time? I’ve always had an interest in food and cooking things from scratch. Combining all those separate ingredients into something delicious a group of people can enjoy together just seems awesome to me. It’s a bit ironic now that for a guy who can’t actually eat anything solid, I'm cooking up tasty treats for lots of people! In a way it has been great therapy for me as baking has filled the providing role of my life that the disease has taken away. So after making a few different bits and bobs, one day decided to bash out some brownies for the family. I’ll confess, I wasn’t much of a brownie fan before all this so I’ve never actually tasted these brownies! But the family loved them . And they went down a storm with friends and colleagues. (So much so in fact that my wife’s work now calls it ‘Brownie Tuesday’). Then one day the missus said ‘People really love your brownies, why don’t you try selling them?’. I’d bever really thought about it before but I thought, well…why don’t I? And here we are! Tasty brownies, lovingly made by yours truly. Richard Nelson
