2026 Speaker Announcement: Susie McCabe
The Dundee Sports Dinner will also welcome Susie McCabe as a guest speaker for 2026.
Susie McCabe is a Glasgow based stand up comedian whose route into the industry was unconventional. She first stepped on stage following a drunken dare. What followed has developed into a sustained and recognised career in UK comedy.
Before entering comedy, Susie worked in the construction industry. Since then, she has established herself as one of the fastest rising acts on the circuit, with a consistent record of strong ticket sales and repeat audiences. Her shows regularly sell out at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival, where she remains one of the most in demand performers.
Her work has been recognised with multiple awards. In 2024, she received the Sir Billy Connolly Spirit of Glasgow Award, reflecting both her connection to the city and her standing within the Scottish comedy scene. The same year, she was awarded Best New Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival.
Susie has also been recognised at the Scottish Comedy Awards, where she has won Best Headliner and Best Show for her solo performance Domestic Disaster. The show went on to achieve a sold out run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2019.
She has supported Kevin Bridges, Jason Manford and John Bishop on tour, as well as appearing on TV’s Have I Got News For You.
