Order ahead online and we’ll have your lunch freshly made and ready for you when you arrive

£14.95 for a short eat + a main

Start with a short eat: Cheese Roti Melts, Lankan Tatties or Tomato Salad. Then pick your main: Kotthu, Rice Bowl or Loaded Roti, with Colombo Chicken, Black Pork or Cauliflower curries. Or go for Devilled Chicken or Prawn with Veg Fried Rice.

Kotthu, plated up at Kochchi 🔥

Kotthu is Sri Lankan street food at its best. It starts with roti, a flaky flatbread, shredded and thrown onto the hot griddle, then chopped and tossed with onions, leeks, carrot and your choice of curry: colombo chicken, black pork, or jackfruit at Kochchi Glasgow and cauliflower at Kochchi Edinburgh. Two blades, one griddle, and it comes together in minutes.

Best with a fried egg on top 🍳 and our chilli paste if you want the heat 🌶️

The sound is half the dish. Anyone who’s eaten kotthu on the island knows that clatter from the street before they ever see the griddle 👀

Everything leaving the Kochchi pass at Bonnie & Wild 🔥👇

Sri Lankan street food in the heart of Edinburgh. Sizzling kotthu, chopped and tossed on a hot griddle with fresh veg (yes, that clanging across the food hall is us). Crispy, lacy-edged hoppers with soft centres. Rice bowls loaded with creamy lentil curry and zesty sambols.

Pick your curry: chicken or black pork, plus vegan tatties with rice bowls and hoppers, or cauliflower with kotthu. On the side, gooey Cheese Roti Melts dripping with mango sauce, flaky Godamba Roti with caramelised onions and coconut sambol, and golden Lankan Tatties.

Add an egg to your main (that runny yolk melting into the curry is everything 🍳) or our red hot chilli relish if you’re feeling brave 🌶️🔥

A table at Kochchi: curries, short eats and everyone reaching at once 🤤🍽️

Sri Lankan food has always been shared. A meal on the island is rice with a spread of curries and sambols, and the point is getting a bit of everything on one plate: sweet against sour, coconut against chilli. No single dish does it on its own😮‍💨🔥

At Kochchi we serve it the same way. Order a few things between you, put them in the middle and build as you go. Or guard your own bowl, we won’t judge🫡

Roti folded around melting cheese and crisped on the griddle. Scottish tatties sautéed Lankan style, with curry leaves and spice. Rice in the middle, with chicken curry, coconut lentil curry, carrot sambol, coconut sambol and caramelised onion around it.🤤🍽️
