This photograph is not just any old photograph but a rather blurry hazy one of the latest must have Strawberry and Cream Cheese Sandwich from M and S.

I had heard that these were pretty hard to get so jumped at the chance of spending the £3.20 fee for a wee treat this fine Monday when spotted in Marks and Soencers at Haymarket.

It is bit of mind gane this sandwich as you think nah cheese and strawberry. Yuck. But bite in for a lovely fresh, British Summer tasty bite. Sweet almost brioche style bread, light fluffy creme fraiche and tasty strawberries.

I could see this taking up a spot at the finger buffet in The King’s Garden Party or the best High Tea platters.

Bit quirky and a bit of fun yes. Certainly made my monday morning. Give it a go.
