When most people think of sourdough, they think of a traditional loaf.

And we love tradition.

But we also love a little chaos.

At a recent market, we took two of our newest flavoured sourdoughs out for testing:

🫐 Blueberry & Lemon

🔥 Ember Sourdough
Orange • Cardamom • Chilli

Two flavour combinations that might raise a few eyebrows at first glance.

But that's exactly what we're all about. Taking the familiar and giving it a twist.

Experimenting with flavours inspired by the Highlands, the seasons, and the stories behind our bakes.

The verdict?

They went down a treat.

Customers came back for more, asked questions, shared ideas, and reminded us why we love creating something a little different.

Because baking should be exciting.

It should spark conversation.

It should make you curious.

And sometimes, the most unexpected flavours create the most memorable experiences.

Nestled beneath the shadow of the Cuillins, at the end of the road in Elgol, you'll find the place that inspires everything we create.

The mountains. The sea. The ever-changing skies.

This wild corner of Skye isn't just where we're based—it's part of every bake that leaves our kitchen.

Our mission is simple:

To create a true Croft to Fork experience, celebrating the incredible ingredients, producers and flavours of the Highlands.

From local honey and seasonal berries to carefully sourced ingredients from fellow Highland businesses, we believe great food starts with great surroundings.

And we don't think there's anywhere quite like this.

When people ask where our ideas come from, the answer is often right here.

🔥 FROM MARKET TEST TO FAST FAVOURITE 🔥

On Friday, we took a batch of our new Heather Honey Sausage Rolls to market.

We weren't quite sure what people would think.

Pork sausage meat, seasoned with new spices. A shimmering glaze of Highland heather honey.

Traditional comfort food with a little bit of wow.

The response?

They sold fast, people came back for more, and we've had requests to bring them back!

That's exactly what we are all about. Taking familiar flavours and giving them a twist inspired by Skye, the Highlands, and the wild ingredients around us.

Because we believe baking should tell a story and every story deserves a little rebellion.
