Here is what is happening at Taste of London.

We are showcasing a carefully selected range of wines from many of our South African producers, both on the South Africa Tourism stand and within the VIP Masterclass schedule.

Two pour sessions and three masterclasses, all in one brilliant week.

We are also proud to be supporting Tom Doran of Doran Vineyards, leading his masterclass Exploring South Africa in Four Shades of White - tonight, 8:00–8:20pm in the VIP Area.

The Heritage Showcase 2026 was everything the Old Vine Conference promises: a room full of people who genuinely care why the age of a vine matters, asking the right questions and staying for another glass. If you came and found us, thank you. It meant a lot to be there. 🍷

The wines Richard poured are all available to order now. Every bottle Old Vine Project certified. Each one independently verified and registered with the OVP before it earned the right to carry those two words on its label.

Every one personally tasted and selected by Richard before it made the Portman Wine list. Old vines produce less fruit but far more of everything else. Complexity, depth, and a sense of place that younger vineyards simply have not had time to develop.

Are old vines genuinely worth saving, or is it just a clever story for a higher price tag? 🤔

We will be at the Heritage Showcase 2026, hosted by the Old Vine Conference, the global body bringing together producers, scholars, and wine professionals working to protect heritage vineyards from around the world.

On our stand: wines from five South African producers, every one certified by the Old Vine Project. The OVP is South Africa's own certification body with genuine legal teeth - a wine cannot carry the words "Old Vine" anywhere in the world without being independently verified and registered by them. Vines must be at least 35 years old. Certification is not optional.

With more than 25 years in the fine wine and premium drinks industry and a WSET Diploma, Ben has spent his career building exceptional portfolios and developing trade relationships with some of the most respected wine houses and hospitality groups in the UK. His expertise, and his network, will be a real asset to the business.

Richard Banks is working with us as a Brand Ambassador for three of our South African producers: Bellevue, Eagles’ Nest and Ridgeback. In this role, Richard helps connect trade customers and wine enthusiasts with the stories, character and people behind these remarkable estates.

Both bring real depth of knowledge and genuine passion for wine. We are thrilled to be working with them.
