Have you heard about the sheep cuddling experience near Filey? ๐ โค๏ธ
Tucked away on the Yorkshire coast near Filey is an unusual countryside experience where visitors can meet, feed, and cuddle friendly Valais Blacknose sheep with views overlooking Filey Bay.
The Cuddly Sheep Retreat in Speeton is a family-run smallholding created by Sammy and Jo, who combined a background in animal care with a love of the countryside to offer something different for families, couples, and animal lovers.
Its 45-minute sheep cuddling experiences take place in small groups, giving visitors time to get up close to the famously fluffy sheep, feed them, and if theyโre feeling friendly, enjoy a cuddle or two. ๐
Thereโs also a Sheep Explorer Base Camp for younger visitors, where children can learn about sheep, discover what they eat and how theyโre cared for, and explore bugs, wildlife, and natural treasures around the coastal smallholding.
For couples, the retreat even offers private sunset experiences, combining sea views with some very woolly company as the sun goes down. ๐
