But what’s the difference between the yellow and pink varieties?

💛 Yellow Dragon Fruit – sweeter, more tropical and often described as having a honey-like flavour. The flesh is usually white with little black seeds.

💗 Pink Dragon Fruit – a little milder and more subtle, with a softer, refreshing flavour.

If you’ve tried the pink before, the yellow is definitely worth a taste! 😋

WHAT ON EARTH IS A GRANADILLA?!

Granadilla is a type of passion fruit, sometimes called sweet passion fruit. It has a hard, smooth orange skin and inside is a juicy, jelly-like flesh packed with edible black seeds.

And the taste?
It’s sweeter and less sharp than a traditional passion fruit, with a lovely tropical, fruity flavour.

🥄 Simply cut it in half and eat the inside with a spoon, or add it to yoghurt, fruit salads, desserts or smoothies.

A little unusual, a little exotic and definitely worth trying!

A NEW WEEK & SOME NEW ARRIVALS!

Monday morning at Dougie’s means fresh stock, and we’ve got something a little different for you this week…

BEEF TOMATOES
Big, juicy and full of that classic rich tomato flavour. Perfect sliced into sandwiches, salads or simply with a little salt and pepper.

PURPLE TOMATOES
A little sweeter and more complex in flavour, with a lovely juicy texture and less acidity than your usual tomato. Absolutely delicious in salads or enjoyed simply on their own.

Both are **limited stock. **
