If you're always on the hunt for a good Sunday roast, this Hampshire find is worth knowing about!

Today's impromptu lunch stop was The Mill House in Odiham, a lovely spot overlooking the mill pond with ducks wandering about and plenty of summer pub garden charm.

I chose the roast pork loin with apple sauce, crispy crackling and all the trimmings. Generous portions, plenty of veg, golden roasties and even a Yorkshire pudding made for a very happy Sunday afternoon.

The bonus? Finding SeaCider Sussex on draft and enjoying a mango cider alongside the roast!

Sometimes you just wake up craving a Sunday roast... so we headed to The Kara to try theirs for the first time.

Safe to say, it was a good decision.

The portions were incredibly generous, with perfectly cooked blushing beef, juicy bone-in chicken breast (and not one, but two pieces on the plate!), crispy roast potatoes, parsnips, seasonal vegetables and a giant Yorkshire pudding. Even better, everyone gets their own pot of extra gravy as standard – something every good roast should come with.

We also started with Mediterranean bread and dips, which made a lovely start to the meal.

If you're looking for a Sunday roast that delivers on both quality and portion size, The Kara Fleet is definitely worth adding to your list.

A few recent beer & cider discoveries worth trying! 🍻 swipe to discover!

One of my favourite things about food and drink events is discovering new producers, finding unexpected favourites and coming home with a list of things I want to try again.

Recently I’ve found everything from a brand-new local nano brewery fleetlions Beer Fest, to fruity ciders, alcohol-free options, festival specials and a summer sour. There’s something for every kind of drink lover here!

I’m always excited to discover smaller breweries and producers, especially local ones, and I can’t wait to see what comes next from some of these.

Hidden away beside the water, Heron On The Lake Fleet, feels like the kind of place made for long summer lunches!

With its outdoor deck overlooking the lake, it’s a beautiful setting for a relaxed family meal, catch-up with friends or a sunny afternoon drink.

We visited to try the menu and found plenty of classic pub favourites alongside some very tempting desserts...

Wing Fest 2026 🍗 Which flavour would you try??

Another fantastic day out with friends eating our way through some of the best buffalo, BBQ and wild wings in the country!

The competition was fierce this year, but I have to say the wild wing entries were absolutely stealing the show. From bold flavours to creative combinations, there were so many incredible dishes to try.

My top three of the day:

🥇 - The Guvnor Fish & Chips Wing
🥈 Roast Wing
🥉 Jude Bellingjam Wing

Other highlights included the Doner Kebab, Indian Street Food's Chicken Tikka & Chaat Wings, Sri Lankan Arumai and Ghanaian Chale wings, Peach & Chong (hot!!) and Crack Wings, Wing Slingers Kim Jong Mmm, and Sweet & Sour Hot Honey.

Of course, no Wing Fest visit would be complete without watching the Hot Wings Eating Challenge too – it's become a tradition! 🌶️🔥

Safe to say I left very full and already looking forward to seeing what the vendors come up with next year.

Another fantastic day at Lymington Seafood Festival, celebrating its 10th year! 🦞🌊

This festival is always such a brilliant celebration of local food, drink and incredible producers, with so many delicious dishes to discover.

On a hot summer’s day, the Codfather Session IPA from was the perfect refreshing drink, while the Mangose Paradise Gose brought all the tropical summer vibes.

Food highlights included the fluffy, flavour-packed bao buns from the lobster cocktail and crab samosa from (with my perfectly themed crab nails!

My standout dish of the day — the fish and chips taco from . Crispy cod goujon, salt & vinegar chips and tartare sauce all wrapped together… seafood festival perfection!

Already looking forward to next year. What would you have tried first? 👇
