This isn’t a story of a farmer far away. We have friends and fellow farmers loosing money every time they switch the milking machine on. 😞

Friday 12th June 12-5pm 🥩
We have just a few bits of beef left after our fantastic sale last weekend. If you’d like to buy some pop up to the farm tomorrow afternoon for some brisket, sausages, steaks, pot roast or diced beef.
Anything left tomorrow evening will go into our freezer and be sold from there. 😀

Officially it’s summer! But today’s weather and the forecast for the rest of the week might have you looking for comfort food, slow cooked beef with lashings of hot gravy.
We have braising steak, brisket, diced beef and something a little different Osso Bucco in stock. Message or call to get more information. 😋🥩

A huge thank you to everyone who came along and bought our beef this weekend.
We really appreciate your support and we’re especially grateful to see so many of you despite the weather doing its best to convince everyone it wasn’t BBQ season!
It’s always lovely to catch up with customers and hear how you’re enjoying our beef.
We do still have a few items left (see photos below). If you’d like more information on prices, or would like us to put something by for you, please send us a message or give us a call.
Thank you again for supporting your local farm and local food producers. It means such a great deal to us.
Here’s hoping the sunshine arrives before the burgers are all gone! 🌞 🍔

If you have been following our farm page through several summers you’ll know how excited I get when I see the swallows returning and raise their young in our barns.
Looks like a healthy brood coming on under the eaves this year.
They are old enough now to show us their cheeky faces. I don’t think it will be long before they fledge and mum and dad can start on their second brood.

I had a lovely conversation with a customer this morning about our beef.

He told me how much he enjoys it and said that, although it might sound a bit strange, he thinks it tastes slightly sweet. I smiled and told him he certainly isn’t the first person to say that.

We chatted about what might give our beef its distinctive flavour. My thoughts were that it comes from the relaxed, stress-free life our cattle enjoy. He suggested it could be the wide variety of grasses and herbs that get to graze across the farm.

It’s always wonderful to hear such positive feedback from customers who appreciate the care that goes into producing our grass-fed, slow-grown beef. Comments like these make all the hard work worthwhile.
