Saucing...Roast Tomato Sauce.

With an abundance of outdoor tomatoes this year, (the indoor ones have been crap), I love to roast the glut down with salt, black pepper, oregano and a good drizzle of British rapeseed oil and pot up into sterlised jars, keeps really well and has a multitude of uses from pasta sauces to soups and it's fresh and homegrown

This is what allotmenteering is all about, amazing, freshly grown produce, no pesticides, just good soil! The joy of growing and harvesting your own fruit and vegetables can't be beaten, knowing you've done this using what knowledge you have, your own hands, seeds and good tilled earth - blimey I'm sounding like a hobbit! Oh and the taste is second to none 🌱
