A bittersweet little update for you, Belle has found a new home!

I had a lovely drive down past Loch Ness this morning to deliver her to her new owners.

My beautiful coffee van will go to live with Finlay and his team at Chocolates of Glenshiel 💜

So, the next time you are visiting Kyle, or if you are ever at an event the chocolate team are at, pop in to say hi and taste their incredible chocolate!

This coffee van has blessed me with so many amazing memories, I am sure it will have many more at Scotland’s answer to W***y Wonka!

I have finally been able to count the money in my Cancer Research UK charity box, which so many of you have contributed to since our last donation in November.

Thank you for showering me with lovely cards, cute gifts and warm wishes this week: I am utterly blown away and an emotional wreck this evening.
Thank you for turning up, no matter the weather.
Thank you for sharing your lives with me and for caring about mine.
Most of all, thank you for choosing to spend your hard-earned money at my little van!
I never took any of it for granted…

I will look back on this chapter of my life with fondness thanks to you all.

Waoo… thank you one and all for once again keeping me busy today!

You are wonderful and I thank you for your patience with me today!

As I prepare for my last day of trading tomorrow, I just want to take a moment to thank these wonderful suppliers for keeping me well stocked these past three years.

I am no baker, nor do I roast my own coffee beans, so I couldn’t have run my business without the help of these talented companies.

From the best millionaire shortbread I have ever tasted, to wonderful Billionaire and Brookie creations, there is nothing they can’t do!

If you want to get your hands on their bakes once I have closed, their coffee shops are located in Nairn and in the Elgin Library. They also have other great stockists all along the North of Scotland!

👉🏼 🌱 Vegan Cakes & Bakes are the bakers behind my large stock of vegan and gluten-free treats.

Thank you for making vegan and gluten-free cakes actually taste delicious! I’m sure you will agree with me that all of them were absolutely incredible!

The Raspberry & White Chocolate cookie was by far a fan favourite, I sold out of these almost every day.

You can find their bakes in numerous coffee shops around the North coast of Scotland, but they also have an online shop so you can have items delivered straight to your door!

And finally, a big “Thank you” to my fantastic coffee supplier, Speyside Coffee Roasting Co. ! ☕️

I dreamt up “Un Petit Café” fully intending to serve their coffee, as it is hands down the best I have ever tasted.

It was only once I bought the trailer and was quite far along setting up my business that I realised I hadn’t actually asked them to be my supplier yet!

Gosh, you kept me so busy today that I didn’t have time to post my “Petit Café de la semaine” today!
Thank you to everyone who came to visit! ❤️

The goodbyes have started and I am already overwhelmed with the well wishes and kind compliments!

My coffee of the week this week is:

❤️ Chouchou Latte
A caramel latte topped with cream, caramel and a healthy helping of “Chouchous”

Chouchous (caramelised peanuts) is a French delicacy which takes me back to my childhood in Brittany…
Long summer days at the beach wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the vendors, pacing up and down the beach selling these hot sugary treats.

“Chouchou” is also a term of affection in French, which loosely translates to “my favourites”.

I felt it was only appropriate to close the coffee van by celebrating you wonderful customers of mine, my favourites, my very own chouchous!

I hope you are all well and that you all had wonderful weekends!

This isn’t the weather I was hoping for during my last week in business, especially as it is now August… but alas, we do live in the North of Scotland!

Given the forecast of wall-to-wall rain, I will not be opening on Tuesday and Wednesday this week.

Therefore, I will only be at the beach on Thursday, Friday & Saturday, which will be “Un Petit Café”’s last hooray!

For once, I won’t be complaining about the rain: the Cairngorms badly needed it!
A huge “Well done” and “Thank you” to the fire services and volunteers who have been battling the wildfires for the past couple of weeks!

My Petit Café de la Semaine is a classic, because sometimes you just need to go back to basics:

🍪 Biscoff Latte
A tasty latte made with a healthy dollop of Biscoff spread, topped with cream, Biscoff syrup and biscuit crumbs.

As the weather seems all over the place, you can have it iced or hot depending on your mood!

I’ll be at the beach today until 4pm!
