Update on availability of birds this year, please have a read!
At the moment we have no point of lay hens available, I’m currently not sure when we will next have point of lay hens looking for loving homes. When we do have hens available we will immediately post on here and let you all know. Please then drop us a message when you see a post regarding birds you would be interested in. Thank you!
We do have some chicks available at the moment. I have: 3 silver laced pekin bantam chicks 2 weeks old. 4 silver laced pekin bantam chicks 6 weeks old, 1 male 3 females.
We also have some hatching eggs available, silver laced pekin bantams, silver laced Wyandottes, East Indian ducks, and cream legbars. Please message to order.
I also have call ducklings due to hatch very soon! Please keep an eye on the page for an update on the hatch rates, and how many are available for sale. Let us know if you would be interested after we post!

Moving day for the East Indian ducks today. 🥳 All excited for the East Indians as they move to there new breeding pen in the back field! Where they will have access to lots of new fresh grass and a great, big pond! Couldn’t not get my phone out when I spotted how the light was literally bouncing off them! So beautiful! 🥰

Geese - only eggs and day olds are available for reservation.
Prices vary depending on time of year and cost of rearing the birds for me.

Fantastic trio of Sebastopol geese looking for a new home.
They are 2 years old at the moment.
Beautiful big birds and there feathering is just stunning!
Perfect for a big garden or paddock!
So sad to see them go, but as with a lot of my stock at the moment I plan to sell off to make room for new breeding birds in 2023.

The view from the back field this evening was stunning! 💙🌌 You can see right across the water to Fort George and across over into the next valley.
My favourite place! A field filled with donkeys and horses in stunning Cumbria at Parkgate Farm Holidays! The perfect place to relax and take in your surroundings! Not sure it’s a good idea me visiting too often as possibly gives me a few to many livestock related ideas! 🤣🫣 You never know what coming next at Brae croft! 🙈

Hatching season has definitely started for us here at brae croft. Lots of chicks around at the moment and more hatching on a weekly basis! 🙈
Our duck breeding pens! 💙 We use lush grassy areas for the ducks, it means they never get super muddy runs and all the water just runs away! We use small dog paddling pools in there areas these are perfect for call ducks and the larger runner ducks can also happily fit in the large versions of the pools. We use the Omlet - World Famous Pet Products go coops for them, with no run. They are in enclosed areas either with stock fencing or omlet fencing. (We clip our ducks wings - a totally harmless process.) Some of our duck area like the one below have netting over the top too as an extra pro caution. This would be definitely needed if the ducks wings weren’t clipped.
Look who finally came off her nest! 😍 Barbra and Frank have successfully hatched 20 keets! She is such a good mummy and Frank has taken to them like a champ! He’s even calling them under him to stay warm! How cute!? We have a few reservations on them and I will be keeping all the others to grow on. 🙈 We have a few lavender keets and all the others are Grey Guineas! 🥰
