When I started Rosehearty Rhubarb last year, my goal was simple - to celebrate this wonderfully vibrant vegetable in every way possible.
I’m a huge fan of growing it, eating it, drinking it, baking with it and of course talking about it! My dream was to share that enthusiasm, build a community of fellow rhubarb lovers, and champion buying local and cooking from scratch 🌱🥧

What I never expected was to be named a finalist in Scotlands Food and Drink Excellence Awards just one year later.

We are absolutely thrilled to be shortlisted in the Food Tourism Business of the Year category, and to say I’m over the moon is an understatement 🎉

We’re proud to be a Patch to Plate destination - somewhere where you know the food on offer started life just a few meters away. And cooking with rhubarb is just a delight.

But here’s a question for you - what would you like to see in the shop next year? I’m asking now so that I have lots of time to prepare for next years rhubarb season!

It was refreshing to see our rhubarb featured in a savoury dish today. It looked and tasted fantastic in this salad with broccoli and lettuce, served to delegates attending the Global Agritourism Conference at P&J Live.

☀️ We had a wonderful evening at the Rhubarb Patch last night, celebrating the longest day of the year—the summer solstice, when the sun reaches its highest point in the sky and heralds the start of summer. Moments like these remind us just how fortunate we are to live here. Just look at that horizon! ☀️

🌅 Join us at the Rhubarb Patch for the Summer Solstice! 🌅

While we’ve sadly run out of rhubarb for the season, our shop will be open with hot drinks and delicious cakes available throughout the evening.

We’re hoping for fine weather so we can all enjoy the stunning views across the Moray Firth on one of the most special and longest evenings of the year.

As well as running a PYO rhubarb patch, we also offer glamping and farm experiences on our family farm.
