We have some very devastating news to tell you, Jura, one of our main boys, has sadly passed away.
Unfortunately, death is also part of life and if an alpaca is suffering the very last kindness we can offer is to make the right decision.
Preliminary tests have shown Jura had a large internal abscess that no-one would have been able to diagnose, the only sign was him losing weight. They are very good at hiding things!
Jura was one of our special care home and wedding boys and those that have trekked with him over The Helm may remember his funny dressage trot 😊.
He has left a huge hole in the herd and we are making sure all the other alpacas are coping with his loss.

Another alpaca visit to a lovely care home in the quiet village of Allithwaite, overlooking the estuary. We do get to meet some lovely and interesting people. Thank you for inviting us. 🦙🦙

Last Sunday saw us at another new venue, Holbeck Ghyll Country House Hotel overlooking Lake Windermere. Carmelo & Braveheart helped Cammi & Euan celebrate their special day and with the sunshine out it was a lovely day. Congratulations to you both 🍾🥂🦙🦙
