For this month's Malt Of The Month, we have a feature of a Campbeltown Classic.

A Glen Scotia 1992 20 Year Old.

Founded in 1832, Glen Scotia stands as a resilient icon of Campbeltown. Once the "Whisky Capital of the World" with over 30 working distilleries, the region now counts Glen Scotia as one of its final three historic survivors.

The distillery’s past is as bold as its spirit - marked by the legends of the Kintyre Peninsula and the haunting story of former owner Duncan MacCallum. After surviving a century of closures and industry shifts, the distillery has been revitalised and today, continues a legacy of craftsmanship that nearly vanished.

True to the classic Campbeltown style, this month's malt is:

Let’s head to the Highlands for a decadent 12-year-old Glen Ord with our latest South Korean exclusive with Whisky Tales.

This expression has been matured in a First-Fill Oloroso Sherry Butt. Bottled at a cask strength of 53.7%, it remains non-chill filtered and naturally coloured.

On The Nose: Smooth milk chocolate and bright orange peel, balanced by sweet honey and toasted malt.

Despite its relatively young 10-year age, this single cask Tamdhu 2013 delivers a remarkably sophisticated and complex flavour profile, which was bottled at cask strength from a first-fill sherry butt.

An initially malty nose makes way for apricots and rich sherried notes of raisins, dark chocolate, coffee and a touch of mint. The palate has a lovely bite with lots of fruit, red apples and dark nutty chocolate with a medium succulent finish.
