🥃 A very special Ferguson Whisky experience is up for grabs in aid of Equal Measures Charity

We’re delighted to be supporting Equal Measures with a truly unique prize: a Ferguson Whisky cask, together with two nights’ stay at the Islay Manse - Ferguson Whisky’s beautiful Islay home in Port Charlotte - and a private whisky tasting on Islay with David Ferguson.

It’s an incredible opportunity to experience Islay, whisky and the Ferguson story at its source, while helping raise funds for a fantastic cause.

One of the questions we’re often asked is, “What does the whisky from one of your casks actually taste like?”

This Deanston release is our answer.

Drawn from casks filled on 22 April 2013, it was bottled at 11 years old to showcase a parcel of Deanston casks that remains available through Ferguson Whisky.

Since this bottle was released, those remaining casks have continued to mature and are now 13 years old.
If you’re considering owning a whisky cask, this bottle offers a genuine insight into the quality and style of spirit from that parcel.

It’s Deanston as we wanted people to experience it: balanced, approachable and selected with purpose.

Before whisky enters these casks, the remaining Pedro Ximénez sherry is carefully emptied.

What stays behind matters.

Over years of maturation, the intensely sweet Pedro Ximénez sherry from Ximénez-Spínola has interacted with the oak, leaving behind compounds that help shape the next spirit to fill the cask.

These casks are now destined to finish some of our 12-year-old single malt.

Same oak.

New spirit.

A completely new chapter begins.
