We are thrilled to announce that the legendary American whiskey maker, Chip Tate, graced us with his presence at our new facility, which is on the cusp of completion. It's delivery day in Goole. 150,000 litres of fermentation space to be unloaded and installed as we edge closer to the opening of our new facility.

We've been incredibly quiet on social media over the years as our distillery changed course, but we are excited to share a major milestone in our distilling journey.

As we continue to take in equipment and build out our distillery, let's take a look at the key points of our Stills. Whilst a project, these still have been designed to be as flexible meaning a vast spirit range is being developed!

Copper Construction
Copper isn't just a material; it's the alchemist's secret to crafting exceptional spirits!

🔶 Why Copper? Copper's unique properties:

- Excellent heat conductivity
- Reactivity with impurities
- Subtle flavour enhancement

In the world of distillation, it's more than a choice; it's an art.

Pot Still
The pot can be run independently of the column, and subsequent catalyst, to enable us to make pot-distilled spirits with a touch of reflux!

- 5,000l capacity
- Swan neck
- Agitator

Column
Crafting exceptional spirits is an art, and KOTHE columns are the brushstroke to perfection. When a product calls for it, we unlock the potential for spirits to thrive, providing:

✅Single Pass Brilliance: Achieving the desired ABV and character in a single run, without compromise.

✅ Enhanced Vapor-Liquid Harmony: Elevating the interaction for flavour refinement.

✅ Precision in Refinement: Offering meticulous control over the distillation process.

Our column, equipped with 8 plates, is designed for flexibility. Each plate can be individually manipulated, or if the need arises, we can seamlessly bypass half of the column at the touch of a button.

Unlocking Distillation Versatility: Catalyst/Botanical Inserts

Just before our condenser, we introduce a further tool from our distilling arsenal - interchangeable inserts that redefine versatility in distillation!

✅ Enhanced Copper Contact: If the spirit craves more copper magic after pot distillation, we simply insert our copper catalyst cartridges.

✅Botanical Brilliance: Crafting Gin or other botanical spirits? We can elevate any spirit with vapour-infused botanicals - we just load chosen botanicals into the cartridge.

The catalyst is your ally, compatible with both pot still and column configurations, making innovation a breeze!

The Automated Parrot... Well, Not Exactly a Parrot!
We've taken innovation a step further with our automated spirit collection system.

No more manual guesswork! Our system handles it all:

- Precise Flow control
- ABV testing on the fly

Put simply, once product development is wrapped up, we've got production covered, ensuring precise cuts and leaving our distillers free to focus on ensuring the perfect organoleptic profile.

It's all about marrying technology with tradition for the finest spirits!
