These were 48 pretty mini cupcakes that went off to be treats at a little girls birthday.

They’re also perfect for big kids too, especially as party season is upon us. They’re a perfect addition to dessert tables, alongside mini brownies, mini blondies, mini possets & cheesecake pots. What could be better?

My last stall of the year is here!! Burpham Wellbeing
Saturday 7th November 2026 10am to 6pm.

Please come along, explore the wonderful stalls, experience the amazing workshops and & enjoy some treats.

On my menu will be the legendary sausage rolls, brownies, blondies, school cake, cupcakes including seasonal apple caramel, & pumpkin spice. I’ll also be making whole food energy balls.

To me, cake is joy, celebration & loved ones.

One lovely Granddad, Nonno, celebrated his birthday with family, and new grandchild.

He loves lemon cake, so it had to be full of lemon loveliness, and velvet vanilla buttercream.
He also loves his football, and his cake is an homage to West Ham United.

I’ve made Reya’s older sister’s cakes from her 1st birthday. One of my very favourites ever, was her 3rd birthday cake, the Gruffalo cake.

Reya’s parents decided to do something similar for her 3rd birthday, but went for her favourite characters, Thomas and friends. Another British institution to pay homage to, as we all know and love them so much.

Their go-to shortybakescakes flavour is the buttermilk chocolate sponge with Belgian chocolate buttercream.

Happy Birthday Reya! 🥰

I made the little faces out of fondant.

I have been soooo excited to share this cake with you!

First challenge was to create the camouflage from fondant, second challenge was to create the bullet belt & make sure it stayed where I wanted it to go.

I’ve been baking for Oliver for over 5yrs now, and his mum & I both decided that this was our favourite.

The bottom tier is Victoria Sponge, and the top tier is red velvet, a family favourite.

Cupcake bouquets: beautiful, eye-catching, novel, easy to transport, easy to serve, perfect for every occasion.

This little beauty went to celebrate a grand-daughter’s birthday. Burpham Community Hub volunteer Jean won my voucher at Burpham Village Fair this year.
