Recently, late at night and in the dark, a vigilante group of around 20–30 people arrived at my farm.

They entered the property shouting and swearing, demanding that I come outside to speak to them. They claimed they needed to check on me and my children, despite being complete strangers with no authority to enter our private property or approach my family.

My children had been sleeping but were woken by the disturbance. This mob then wanted to enter our private home to “check” on them. The only thing preventing them from reaching my children was me standing in their path and refusing to move. This was bizarre, frightening and completely unacceptable behaviour. Who wants to enter a child's bedroom late night? Complete strangers to those children, what qualifications or safeguarding have these people undergone and who regulates their conduct...

I initially faced members of the group alone inside one of our farm sheds. More and more people then entered the shed shouting and swearing, while there was also a great deal of shouting coming from the crowd outside. At one point, I was confronted by approximately 20 people, with cameras pushed into my face while serious allegations were shouted at me.

This was a mixed group of men and women who referred to themselves as a “child protection unit.” None of them provided identification or evidence that they represented any legitimate organisation or authority. They behaved in a deeply frightening and intimidating manner, causing considerable fear and alarm.

They were told repeatedly that they were not welcome and were asked several times to leave, but they refused.

Their vehicles were also parked across a private access road in a way that blocked in our neighbours and prevented them from leaving.

The police dispersed the group. However, before officers arrived, members of the group went through our sheds and fields, frightened my children and animals, and left several gates open—risking animals escaping onto the road.

A video of the incident has since been posted online. What has been published is an edited version that conveniently cuts out much of the group’s behaviour and fails to show the sheer number of people who arrived at our farm. It does not present the full context of 20–30 strangers arriving after dark, entering private property in increasing numbers, shouting and swearing, blocking the access road, opening and leaving livestock gates open and causing significant distress to the animals, refusing repeated requests to leave and attempting to enter a private home where three children had been sleeping and subsequently causing them distress.

This was described as a “peaceful protest,” but there was nothing peaceful about it. In my view, this was mob intimidation—not responsible safeguarding or the conduct of a safe organisation carrying out genuine child-protection work. Their behaviour was inexcusable, extremely concerning and potentially dangerous.

Until now, I have sat back quietly and tried to ignore this behaviour. However, it is continuing to escalate, and I now feel it is necessary to put my side across—something I have not previously been given a fair opportunity to do.

I have been given no clear or legitimate reason for why our home and farm were targeted. This appears to be a deeply concerning escalation of a deliberate and sustained campaign against our family by a group of known individuals. For more than 12 years, factually incorrect information about us has been circulated as part of this targeted campaign. That night, the campaign brought a large group of strangers directly to the home where our children were sleeping. All relevant checks for all aspects of our businesses, child welfare, animals etc have already been done by the relevant professional and governed bodies.

If anyone has previously been—or is currently being—contacted or targeted by anyone regarding our family or farm, please keep copies of all messages, posts, photographs, videos and other evidence, and notify Police Scotland.

This behaviour is not acceptable. In our view, these are not legitimate attempts to raise genuine concerns; they are being used as an excuse to threaten, bully, intimidate and harass our family as part of an ongoing smear campaign, causing considerable fear and alarm.

The incident has been reported to Police Scotland, and all available CCTV footage and other evidence will be preserved. Please do not speculate, repeat inaccurate information or identify my children. This is now a police matter.

🐐 Meet Donnie — one of our Boer billies! 💙

And yes… he absolutely knows he’s handsome. 😂

Donnie spends his days strutting around the field looking important, keeping an eye on his ladies and generally posing like he’s just stepped out of a Boer goat catalogue. 📸🤣

With those horns, that beard and the stance, we think he’s rather impressive — although we're fairly sure Donnie is even more impressed with Donnie. 😂🐐

🐷💕 WARNING: EXTREME LEVELS OF CUTENESS! 💕

Our 9 little piggies are out exploring the big wide world… and we're slightly obsessed with them. 🥹🐽

Tiny trotters ✔️
Tiny snouts ✔️
Little spotty bottoms ✔️
Absolutely no respect for personal space ✔️😂

They’re getting braver by the day, charging about, investigating everything and generally causing the sort of chaos that can only be forgiven when you’re this ridiculously cute. 🐷❤️

Mum is doing a fantastic job — although we suspect keeping track of all nine is a full-time occupation! 😂

🐾 Rogue is back from his wee holiday! 🐴🏕️

After a very important few days living it up at Scone Horse Trials, supervising absolutely everything and making sure the entire event was running to his standards, Rogue has returned home. 😂

By the look on his face, he thoroughly enjoyed his role as Chief Supervisor, Snack Inspector & General Person-in-Charge. 👀😂

We’re not sure Scone will manage without him… but he's available for future consultancy work. 🤣🐾

🐑 Market day! 🚜

A busy start to the day getting this lot gathered, loaded and away to market!

Our lambs headed off this morning, marking the end of another chapter in the farming year. They’ve grown on really well and it’s always satisfying to see all the work that’s gone into them over the past few months come together.

Now we just have to wait and see how they get on at the sale! 🤞🐑
