🩶 Wedding Cake Scenes 🩶
If you know me, you know I strive for perfection in everything I do. Of course, not everything turns out perfectly, but I always give it my absolute best.
I usually prefer delivering my tiered cakes fully stacked, but when it comes to tall wedding cakes in the middle of summer, my anxiety likes to make an appearance! 😅
This particular cake had to be stacked at the venue. As you can probably tell from my face, I was feeling the pressure. The air conditioning wasn’t on when I arrived, and the heat was intense. The cake had been sitting safely in my fully blasted air-conditioned car for almost an hour while I waited for the venue to cool down enough for setup.
Time was ticking, I could see cars pulling in. I couldn’t wait any longer. So, with crossed fingers and plenty of prayers, I stacked the cake and stepped away.
But my anxiety wasn’t done with me yet. I drove home knowing I probably wouldn’t hear any feedback for days.
Then, just as I arrived home, I received a message from a customer who was attending the wedding, along with a photo of the cake I had just delivered.
“I heard you made the stunning cake for the wedding.”
And just like that, all of my anxiety melted away. 💕
The bride absolutely loved her cake, everything went smoothly, and the cake looked beautiful throughout the celebration.
A little note to all my future brides and grooms: during the warmer months, please ask your venue to switch on the air conditioning at least 30 minutes before cake delivery. It makes a huge difference in ensuring your cake looks its best on your special day.
Thank you to all my wonderful couples for trusting me with such an important part of your celebrations. 🤍
