Robert Hawker Venison is a family-run business based near Wellington on the Devon/Somerset border. The wild venison is managed ethically, in a sustainable manner and is entirely traceable. Robert is also a licensed deer stalker and manages deer on the Highclere Estate, the set of the famous television series Downton Abbey.

The Wells Food Festival Awards comprise of 11 categories ranging from Best Confectionery and Best Preserves and Chutney to Best Start-up Business. Our team of judges pick a winner from each category before handing over to Charlie Bigham, who has the very difficult task of choosing a "BEST IN SHOW" winner.

We are proud to announce that "The Charlie Bigham’s Best in Show Award" went to ROBERT HAWKER VENISON! Huge congratulations to Robert, who was recognised for his high-quality venison and game from the West Country.
