Closing date for High Heatons The Newton rebrand has been confirmed as the 26th of July.

I hope the refurb is handled tastefully and they keep the heritage swarm of flies that live at the rear of the pub.

North Shields Three Kings Brewery announces its immediate closure which is shocking.
I bloody love their golden Ale.

Wonder what this means for Darwin Brewery as the last I heard they were co-located

Newcastle's recently closed Hustlers pool hall has found a new home in the short-lived Labour Club on Haymarket.

The Labour Club, if you recall, moved from a prime bit of real estate in 2025 to the Haymarket .. only to suddenly close a few months later under 'unusual' circumstances

Newcastles Magpie has closed a mere 18 months after it replaced The Goose.

According to The Chronic this 'popular' pub won't stay closed for long with owners promising something 'new' AND 'exciting' .

- Large but very quiet Boozer
- decent looking pub inside with a chatty barman
- propped myself up next to the window to watch the world go by while I supped a decent pint of red ale( I think it was 5 Lamps)
- Apparently it does a decent feed as well

It's a golden age for guitar wankers as 's Please to Meet You undergoes its third refurb/rebrand in seven years — this time becoming yet another Irish-themed pub.

That means two of Front Street's six pubs will now be Irish-themed, despite being only 100 yards apart.

The Canny Lad Tynemouth opens shortly, presumably just in time for the next rebrand.
