Burts Cheese Burt's Cheese make a range of award winning cheese. Based at Bidlea Dairy and made with milk from the Bidlea herd, Holmes Chapel, Cheshire.

They run cheese-making workshops from their classroom on thr farm, next to their dairy. Burt’s Cheese is an award winning cheese producer with a range of semi-soft cheeses. All the cheese is handmade with quality milk sourced from a local dairy, for a richer flavour. It is made in a small vat making each cheese a labour of love. Burt’s Blue cheese began its life in January 2009. Through the care a

nd attention of cheese maker Claire Burt, Burt’s blue became a Gold award winner in the 2010 Nantwich Cheese Awards. We recently expanded our team and with this came the development of a few new products to add to the range one of which is "Drunken Burt". Drunken Burt uses cider during the maturing process this gives the cheese a unique flavour and it also takes on some of the golden colour. Burt's Cheese recently won 'Best Producer' at 2013 Observer Food Monthly Awards
The award was voted for by a leading panel of UK chefs, food writers and critics the ‘Best Producer’ award recognises the best producer of food and drink in the UK – those who are producing something uniquely excellent in British food. Previous winners have included farms, artisan butchers and bakers, and with the award to Burt’s Cheese in 2013 this now includes a cheese-maker!
