With breakfasts served, check outs completed and the sun shining, Andrew and I went to try some cheeses at Connage Highland Dairy and see what new delights we could find for our lovely guests.
The winner โฆโฆ..nettle and garlic, followed closely by smoked Brie and cumin Gouda - Yum ๐
Thank you lovely ladies at the shop - we thoroughly recommend a visit ๐คฉ
(Apologies for duplication - I couldnโt get my photos attached to previous post and all the cheeses were wonderful - perfect setting for a cuppa and chat ๐)
A great evening of Cheese and Wine raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Macmillan Cancer Support
Thanks to Connage Highland Dairy, WoodWinters Wines & Whiskies and The Redshank for supplying all the wonderful products.
I am pleased to be able to tell you that your business is recommended in my new book โFood Source Heaven โ Affordable Ethical Food Onlineโ. You can see a sample of this book free on
https://www.amazon.com/Food-Source-Heaven-Affordable-Ethical/dp/B09KNGHR88 = and itโs available as an Ebook, or as a very substantial paperback. I hope that this book will become every food lovers bible. I previously ran a restaurant in Sussex that was listed in The Good Food Guide as one of the Restaurants of the Decade, and was using organic food at a time when it was considered a little cranky. Now based in France, I intend to regularly keep this book updated. Yours Simon Scrutton

Hello folks, weโll be back open for dinner from April 1st โจ
This year weโre doing something a little different at the Ferry Inn, our menu will be based on a small plates & sharing basis that many of you got to enjoy this past winter. Expect some of our Ferry Inn classics & wonderful sharing platters alongside new seasonal dishes to enjoy with our fab wine list or maybe a cocktail or 3. As always we treat dining at the Ferry Inn with a special but relaxed approach & this year will be no different. Weโll be running things as we have done the last few seasons, predominantly residents only with any extra tables per evening allocated to non-residents.
Bookings wonโt be taken more than 2 months ahead of time for non-residents - April & May bookings are open now. Please ring us on 01470 542300, we canโt take reservations over social media. A sample menu can be found on our website. Opening times: Tues-Sat (6-8pm last sitting).
Our bar will be open to non-residents for drinks as normal from 5 -10pm Tues-Sat including our drinks garden in โจdecent โจ Skye weather!
