Full Time 37.5hours (8am-4pm Mon-Fri) based at Lee Mill (PL21 9GE)
Salary Β£26-Β£28k dependent on experience

A foodie who is inspired by making the best food they can with the ingredients available. Willing to experiment with a variety of ingredients and methods, making the same recipe again until it is perfect! The NPD Chef is responsible for the development of new, high-quality jams, chutneys, pickles and sauces from concept to launch, they must be creative, methodical, accurate and have an eye for detail.

Key responsibilities:
Β· Preparing samples in the NPD kitchen.
Β· Managing the approval of new ingredients/packaging.
Β· Completing costings.
Β· Keeping accurate records of all samples made.
Β· Conducting factory trials.
Β· Setting recipes and instructions up in the production system.
Β· Improving existing recipes.

Essential requirements:
Β· A true passion for food. Must be able to cook and implement improvements to products.
Β· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages including Outlook, Excel and Word.
Β· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Β· Strong time management skills (prioritising, managing workload, meeting deadlines).
