Wedding dinner for Saskia & Matty 🫶💐✨️

Had the lovliest day cooking for the most relaxed couple gathering with their family & friends to celebrate them! Lovely big open kitchen for people to come & have a nosey & chit chat too 🤗

Kicked things off with canapes:
- Pickled Yorkshire Rhubarb, Whipped Feta & Lemon Balm Crostini
- Honey Mustard Cocktail Sausages & Pickled Chilli

Family Style Sharing Mains:
- Slow Braised Short Ribs & Spiced Beans topped with fresh Fennel & Thyme
- Roasted Cauliflower, Wild Garlic Pesto & Pine Nuts
- Jersey Royals with Brown Butter & Chives
- Loaded Herby Salad
- Focaccia

Super appreciative guests & the best helping hands Lucy & Charlotte (always so so grateful to have keens beans supporting me making gigs like these so smooth and enjoyable)! Couldn't have asked for a better day in the kitchen 🥰

May & August Highland Supper Clubs 🫶✨️

Tickets now live for our next supper and upcoming August supper. We're still finalising details for our summer June & July suppers ☀️
& I are loving these monthly gatherings and can't wait to feed you all!

Friday 29th May | 7pm | Apiary, Newtonmore Golf Club
Italian supper inspired by - you'll get lost down a pasta making rabbit hole watching their awe inspiring content! Authentic recipes at their finest 🍝! We'll be fully embracing fresh and colourful spring produce with our take on lots of Italian classics.

Saturday 1st May | 6pm | Dell of Abernethy, Nethy Bridge
Tipi Mexican Fiesta 🪇 where we'll be joined by local story teller Rachel Glueck who'll take us on a journey into mexican cuisine, culture & mezcal!
We'll be drawing inspiration from Rachel herself and .belfrage cooking up a feast full of bold and vibrant mexican sharing plates!

Malaysian Inspired Supper Club 🌶✨️

After a wee break since our last supper club, it was an absolute treat to get back in the kitchen with and cook a Malaysian feast for our guests at our BIGGEST supper club to date. Another sell out & what a vibe it felt in Abhainn Druie 🦌!! Massive thanks to all who came along for a fantastic evening of flavourful dishes and kudos to those who tucked in to the firey HOT sambal 🥵👏!!

It was an evening full of comforting food and we're so happy to have seen so many returning faces as well as lots of new ones. It really does feel like we’ve created a proper ‘supper club’! We love seeing everyone connect and coming together to share an evening of great food!

Definitely our most ambitious menu so far but it was all well and truly devoured 😊! Lindsay and I choked ourselves a few times with the heat of chilli prep for this one 😂. Never underestimate the impact of a small red morsel… even with gloves! Lots of fragrant & aromatic flavours used; dishes full of fresh galangal, lemongrass, kaffir lime, turmeric & coconut. Stunning local beef shin and Scottish rainbow trout which we whole roasted in banana leaves. It really was a feast and a proper Malaysian journey for the tastebuds.

We went to a sunny greek island last night for the lovely Eirinn & her hens 👰🏽‍♂️🪩🎀💙!

Mamma Mia inspired event and it was a treat as always setting the scene and lining some bellies. Just a few snaps from the eve & captured some of the dishes!

- Checkerboard Feta & Olives 🫒 (aesthetic crowd pleaser)
- Chicken Shawarma, Pickled Cucumber, Yog & Herbs

I love the variety of my job & it's always a pleasure being part of a special occasion ✨️

Next in our supper club series will be a Malaysian night inspired by an incredible female chef 😍🙌

Unforunately, we've not managed to find a date in March when we're both available so we won't be popping up until next month. Join us in April at Rothiemurchus private room, Abhainn Druie for an evening filled with an array of bold, flavourful & aromatic sharing dishes - expect some spice 🌶.

Malaysian cuisine is a vibrant, multi-ethnic fusion of Malay, Chinese, Indian, and indigenous culinary traditions. Matched with some great local produce, it's going to be quite the journey for your tastebuds!

My diary for this year is filled with retreat cooking for a mixture of gatherings across Scotland & I'm very excited to get stuck in after a good reset couple months ✨️! It's going to be a busy one but I'm so excited to do what I love and feed some new bellies!

I absolutely love cooking for retreats and fuelling a group with nourishing dishes 🌈. A retreat captures people and immerses them in a period of withdrawal from the daily chaos. A time to switch off from reality and focus on something with intention, surrounded by like minded people. It's so special seeing a bunch of strangers come together to connect, relax & enjoy something they're passionate about, together with new & old friends. I feel very lucky to get to do what I do 🥰🫶

My retreat diary is pretty full up to October 🥹! I have some occasional mid week availability & space for dinner parties & meal drop offs so please still get in touch and I'll see what I can do!

Dishoomy evening 🤩🤤✨️ Second in the chef/cookbook inspired supper club series and what a vibe it was!! Lindsay & I loved cooking up the deliciousness to feast on for this one!

Great to see some familiar faces and lots of new ones chatting & laughing together, bowls of curries being passed about and new connections made over some yummy food! All to a great playlist 🥳💃

Thanks to Charli for letting us host (& helping us clean down) 🙌! What a great open space to host Route 7 Cafe & Flying Sausage BBQ Hut - we loved the open kitchen and seeing everyone tuck in feeling properly part of the whole dining experience!

We couldn't do it without Matthew & Lucy looking after everyone, making drinks, serving & clearing and generally being all round superstars! Thank you, thank you, thank you 🫶💕

Very happy Lydie encouraged me to do the live demo today at Kingussie Food on Film. Thanks to everyone who sat and watched and tucked in to what I made - Venison Keema and Silken Tofu Chocolate Mousse 😍🤤! A really lovely and fun afternoon - what a fantastic community event with some really amazing local produce 👏

DISHOOM INSPIRED FEAST

Our next supper club will take place on Sunday 15th February and it’ll be inspired by Dishoom! For those of you who haven’t experienced Dishoom - you’re missing out! Stepping inside, they want you to feel as if you’ve been transported to a cafe in the bustling magic of Bombay where you’ll listen to countless stories, hear lovely histories all whilst eating the most delicious comfort food.

We're so excited for this one. Charli is kindly opening her space for us to host Route 7 Cafe, Aviemore where we'll be kicking things off at the slightly earlier time of 6pm.

Six nations weekend, valentines weekend, special occasion - come celebrate with us and we’ll be sure to tingle your tastebuds with some authentic Indian flavours.
