Two lovely little small plate recipes for a summer bite to share:

- For the Slow roasted tomatoes on the vine, whipped goat’s cheese, pesto and rocket
- celeriac remoulade and prosciutto crudo

Slow Roasted Tomatoes and Goat’s cheese

- set your oven to 140C
- take some cherry tomatoes on the vine, a few garlic cloves, thyme and drizzle generously with olive oil. Season.
- roast until the tomatoes are soft but have not popped. Cool until room temperature.
- take a roll of soft goat’s cheese and beat with a spoonful of creme fraiche or cream until soft. Add a good few grinds of black pepper
- take a plate and spread the goats cheese mix. Top with tomatoes, some rocket, and drizzle with olive oil from tomatoes and pesto (optional)

For the remoulade:

- use a food processor to grate half a celeriac (or do by hand)
- in a separate bowl, mix 3 tbsps of mayonnaise with two creme fraiche. Add a tsp Dijon mustard, chives and a squeeze of lemon juice.
- combine with the grated celeriac and season.
- plate with some good quality. Italian ham and enjoy with crusty bread.

Brilliant day yesterday at Kinross summer market eating, drinking and doing a food demo. Was really fun to join forces with and compere one another’s demo. We made a pretty good team and hopefully we can finally get organised to put in a joint pop up dining event soon! Stay tuned for updates.

Big thanks to KLEO for all of their hard work to put the event on and tidy it all up at the end. Also, huge thank you to for donating a beautiful piece of ribeye steak for the demo - I made a spiced butter for the beef, some home made chilli sauce and herby salad and tzatziki, all served up in home made yoghurt flatbreads. Thanks Arngask Farm for the lovely herbs and salad leaves. The stall looked amazing and the produce delicious.

Hope everyone enjoyed the day and the sun even made an appearance.

Something new at the Spring Market on 24 May, a trial FOOD & DRINKS FESTIVAL! Come along to the Market Park and enjoy some fabulous Food & Drinks demonstrations in in the Beer Garden marquee from Jilly McCord Cooks. Sarah Rankin Cooks, Tyroshan Attidi Panagoda, Gin Laboratory, Cairn o Mohr Real Fruit Wines, Loch Leven Brewery and Pinko's Korean Street Food
The event is from 10am to 5pm. Come along and enjoy!
