Yorkshire Wine School Yorkshire W**e School We are an independent w**e education company offering w**e tastings and courses, including WSET, in venues in Leeds, York and Harrogate.

We are not tied to any w**e merchant or retailer and offer impartial advice, tasting only w**es that we believe are good examples of their type. We learn about w**e by concentrating on the flavours and aromas of each example. We look at the w**e’s taste profile and seek to understand and explain how the characteristics of the grape variety can be influenced by the climate and local w**emaking styles. As we do not sell w**e we can advise where to buy the best w**es locally and at the best prices.

Summer is done folks! That must mean it’s time to head back to (w**e) school.
Never fear, we’re waiting to welcome you with a dizzying array of tastings, courses and classes.
If your aim is to get w**e qualified by Christmas then you’d better get booking quickly! Our first WSET Global L1 and L2 courses are full (25pp on L2 🤩😮) and the second lot in Nov aren’t far behind- just a FEW PLACES LEFT.
L3, starting in Oct, has just a couple of places left.

Now that we have our reliable English rainfall back again, why not have your sunshine brought to you in a delicious glass of California w**e? The Golden State has been producing some of the world's finest w**es for decades now, and we've got bottles of it to share with you as part of our Capstone California courses.

These fascinating courses allow you to become a fully-certified expert in some of America's finest w**es, providing a structured experience which takes you through the history and geography of American w**e, as well as telling the fascinating stories of some of the region's iconic producers, such as Ridge Vineyards, Frog’s Leap W**ery and Robert Mondavi W**ery.

Most importantly, you'll taste some really incredible w**es. Our link-up with Capstone means that we're sent some really delicious bottles which would normally be incredibly rare in the UK, so if you want to taste something really special, this course is for you.

It’s time for our holidays!
We are off camping on the shores of Lake Trasimeno close to the Tuscan/Umbrian border.
I’ve got my eye on some top quality Orvieto, plus a day trip to take in Montefalco and Torgiano.
But to get in the holiday mood, how about this exquisite sparkling g Chardonnay from Castello Pomino, close to Florence? It’s made by Chianti maestro , but it reminds me of top quality Trento DOC and other world class trad method sparklers from northern Italy. Super elegant and would be ideal with sushi. You can buy this Once Upon A Vine for £45.

Back to school time in September can be something to look forward to when it's W**e School! After all, what could be a better way to learn than with a glass of w**e in your hand, following your passion for our favourite drink?

If all that you know is that you love w**e, why not try one of our Introduction to W**e Evenings, where your teacher will give you the low-down on grapes and w**emaking, and teach you how to sniff and swirl like a pro? Or, come along to a Wonderful World of W**e course, where your geography lesson will tell you all about the different styles of w**e from around the world?

If you're in the mood for some maths, how about this - W**e + Cheese = a great pairing! We have all kinds of sessions pairing w**es with top-quality artisan cheese, as well as other sessions where you can pair w**e with charcuterie or crisps.

Our w**e and food events are definitely a cut above school dinners too, with all-day Saturday tastings which come with delicious two-course lunches, and evening sessions pairing w**e with fish and chips!

Whatever event you book onto, you'll be able to explore your love of w**e with our friendly and knowledgeable presenters, and you'll have a great time. So book yourself in to one of our events, bring a friend and let's get back into the best kind of classroom!
