What an amazing job our team in Asda Huntly are doing! This is ASDANESS !
“ I am the Store Manager of the Asda in Huntly and I saw a post about a hamlet near Huntly with no local shop and no access to food supplies.
As food banks are struggling to reach us right now we have sent out a van full of food that’s about to expire in the next few days. Not sure where your reader lives but we are guessing around Rothiemay as we have delivered to other hamlets today.
It’s free to any member of the public who reach the Main Street to collect. Mainly meat, bread and fruit and veg essentials.
Look out for Trevor and Meaghan who have agreed to stay back after a day of delivering to do this and are on their way now as long as it’s safe to do so.
Anything left over will be dropped off at care homes on the way back to store.
We have had four vans out today delivering and we have more out again tomorrow to communities in rural areas around Huntly.
We will reach more communities as roads open back up and drivers can get out of their own remote homes to deliver. “
