We are a small stud in Leicestershire, located near to Melton Mowbray. All our goats are kept as part of the family and selected for good behaviour. Farmcroft Blackberry (Keith) fathered three kids on our two nannies in 2018, despite coming to live with us late in the season in early January. In 2019 he fathered two Golden toggle girls, one girl and one boy (Cupid) from our Clover here and 6 girls and 1 boy from visitors. Somerbrooke Cupid served two of our girls earlier this year, they both had twins in June 2020. Somerbrooke Hector an A5 male bred 2019, has also served two girls of ours both high A5.
We now have Gorgeous Galahad, another Golden Guernsey male.
We milk the girls and make cheese. we have registered Golden Guernsey nannies, a Toggenburg cross unregistered nanny, and the kids. We also keep Dwarf Dairy and Nigora goats. The boys will be available for stud from September. All are CAE tested negative and Lamivac covered.
Our stud fee is £25 plus £7 a week board, we believe in natural mating due to the fitness advantages this gives offspring. All visiting ladies must have a CAE negative status and have been wormed or tested recently. We welcome ladies of all breeds ! (Bookings being take for 2020/21).
