Life-affirming ales from a neighbourhood brewery, taproom and street-food canteen in Lewes. Please come and say hi!

Our taproom is open Fridays (6pm-10:30pm) amd Saturdays (12pm-10:30pm) serving a range of beers from us and guests, plus wine and cider! Conceived as a ‘nomadic’ project, The Beak has spent several years creating unfiltered, seasonally-inspired beer with friends at some the greatest UK breweries, including North Brew Co, Partizan, Beavertown, Burning Sky and Northern Monk. We've now laid roots in

our hometown of Lewes in East Sussex, where we've built a 15-BBL neighbourhood brewery and taproom with a mixed-fermentation project and weekend street food canteen. HARVEST DAY!

All three Harvest beers are now live on the webstore and pouring at venues across the UK from today! A huge thank you to all the indie venues taking part in the launch as well as Jay Cover for creating the stunning artwork for this year’s launch. Here’s what you can look forward to:

HARVEST #1 - DDH PALE - A double dry-hopped pale loaded with our hand selected Mosaic and Mosaic Cryo, backed up by Citra and Idaho 7. Expect notes of ripe mango, blueberry and peach, layered with zesty citrus, soft tropical fruit and a touch of dank resin.

HARVEST #2 - DDH IPA - Packed with double helpings of unreal-tasting Citra and Citra Cryo, supported by Mosaic and Idaho 7. Bursts of lime and grapefruit lead into juicy tangerine, passionfruit and a bright piney finish that keeps us coming back for more.

HARVEST #3 - DIPA - A luxurious Double India Pale Ale saturated with hand-selected Idaho 7 and Idaho 7 Cryo, bringing tonnes of sweet pineapple character. Backed up by Citra and Mosaic, it’s also brimming with big tropical notes of mango, citrus peel and ripe stone fruit.

IDAHO IDAHO IDAHO.
Say hello to our latest hop showcase! SO… IDAHO IPA highlights an incredibly expressive lot of Idaho 7, hand-selected by us from Lakeside Ranches in Oregon. Expect ripe tropical pineapple, bright pops of red berry and aromatic sweet-shop notes running all the way through. We love this beer. LILTA
One of our favourite DIPAs from the last couple of years is back. Loaded with Mosaic and Motueka, along with a new hop variety, Manilita, grown by our friends at Freestyle in New Zealand, this one is seriously expressive. Thick, creamy and pillowy-soft with punchy notes of g***a, ripe papaya and red grapefruit. Available now on the web-store. Don’t sleep on it!

LET IT BE
Our latest India Pale Ale, BE, has just rolled off the canning line and it’s one of the most expressive beers we’ve ever released. Cloud-soft and loaded with Nelson Sauvin and Nectaron, alongside Mosaic and Vic Secret, it’s absolutely saturated with hop oils, giving flavours of ripe peach, white grape and blueberry compote. Available as part of a fresh IPA pack alongside PARADE and MYTH IPA.

We’ve just finished packaging a super fresh and bright West Coast Pale called DUNES. Brewed with a combination of classic and modern US hop varieties –Chinook, Simcoe, Idaho 7 and Mosaic – it’s absolutely popping with flavours of grapefruit, w**d and orange zest, with a clean, lingering piney bitterness that just keeps giving. CUBED: BEAK × BOXCAR - DARK MILD
When London brewing legends Boxcar Brewery closed their doors three years ago, a collective sigh rippled through the UK brewing scene. One of the country’s finest independent producers was gone. But all was not lost. Last month, we coaxed former head brewer Sam Dickison out of retirement to help us brew CUBED, a one-off re-release of Boxcar’s iconic Dark Mild. Built on the same beautifully complex roasted malt bill, but dialled up to a higher ABV, this is a proper winter warmer: creamy and comforting, with notes of plum, raisins, bourbon and fresh coffee.
