Sadly it didn't come home 🥲. However, we will be showing the France 🇫🇷 V England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 on Saturday at 10pm. We will also be open on Sunday evening to show the final Spain 🇪🇸 V Argentina 🇦🇷 at 8pm. We will have to wait another four years to hopefully see it brought home then. Please let us know if you'd like to reserve a seat.

We will be reopen from 11pm on Sunday evening ready to watch Mexico v England. It is based on a booking only basis so we have an idea on numbers. We will close at 5pm on Sunday to allow us time to have some food and a couple of hours sleep. We will then be up and ready to welcome you back. We also ask you to be mindful of the neighbours when arriving and leaving the pub due to the unusual hours. It's a once in a lifetime occurrence - feel free to come in your pjs!!! So today marks six years that for many, their world turned upside down. For us it’s six years today since we had to close our doors for the very first time. I remember feeling so numb as I feared what the future held for us as a family and business.

Whilst we are still here to tell the tale in general the hospitality business is on its knees. This is due to a combination of issues: food inflation prices, utility bill hikes, minimum wage increases, national insurance increases and increasing business rates. We live above our business and work 90-100 hours a week which we always do with pride and to the best of our ability. The stress of walking away from our business if things get tougher always worries me because it is our safe place and our family home.

The world is tough out there. The world has not recovered from Covid and it will never be the same again.

I thank each and everyone of you for supporting our business and we hope to continue for the unforseeable future.
