Let the reintroductions continue... today we reintroduce Mark aka Mortgage Mark

Mark’s official title is Head of Mortgages and Lending, but James likes to call him the Mortgage Magician. For legal purposes, we can’t actually call him that, but if you’ve ever had a mortgage through Mark, you know it’s true.

Mark has 23 years of experience in Mortgages, qualifying in 2003. He’s one of those people who cannot sit still, and has continued to expand on his knowledge throughout his career, which has basically lead him to be one of the go to advisors for mortgages.

From complex lending to first time buyers, Mark has helped hundreds of clients further their dreams whether that be buying their homes or building a property portfolio.

Something we say to our clients. Not to get them to sign on the dotted line, but to remind them of something very important.

There’s a big difference between listening to your gut instinct (which is normally never wrong) and listening to brain as it enters fight or flight mode when faced with a big financial decision.

When looking at any big money decisions, it’s important to detach from your emotions.

Not because emotions don’t have a place when it comes to the decision, but because those emotions could be shouting louder than the sensible side of your brain.

This is the importance of advice.

When we sit down with our clients, we make it a priority to understand the emotions that drive the decisions you make.

Fear, desire, anxiety, greed, overconfidence, shame, excitement, guilt, love.

These are all emotions we have witnessed. Apply each to the same scenario and you’ll get a different result every time.

So when we say this to our clients, it’s because the decision has triggered one of those emotions, and they need to take a step away, and come back to it with fresh eyes, and less emotion.

Bringing Mark on board enabled the team to not only learn about the complexities of managing finances efficiently, but also mortgages making this dream team the full package.

As I walk into my last meeting on a busy Monday at JMK, I wanted to reflect on everything the team has achieved in the last couple of weeks.

👩🏼‍💼 We welcomed a new member of the team. Ruby's training is well and truly underway!
🏖️ The admin team continued the highest level of support for our clients while some of the advisors took a well earned break
👩🏼‍💼 The advisor team came back with recharged batteries and got stuck straight into catching up with clients
👊🏼 We've worked on a huge internal project, pulling it together in a very short space of time

It's times like this that you really have to trust the team around you. I'm very fortunate that we have a team that has made trusting so easy.

We have a few new faces in the office since we last did a meet the team so we thought it would be a good idea to reintroduce ourselves...

Today we reintroduce the boss, Mr. JMK himself... James Kingswood 👨🏼‍💼

James has been a qualified advisor with St. James’s Place for 12 years, starting originally at a small practice, before moving to a larger one as a Senior Wealth Advisor.

But JMK Wealth Management was always the plan, and in 2021, it became a reality and he opened his own practice.
