🇮🇳 A trip to Tiffin Room 🍛

📍 Duke Street, Liverpool City Centre

I was kindly invited to last week to try some more of their incredible dishes, and for a spoiler… everything was stunning!

🍹 While we narrowed down our options, which was really tough work, I had a Blackberry bramble cocktail and Mum got a pinot white wine. The cocktail was fruity and strong and I could’ve drank 5 but it was a school night 🤣

We finally decided on a selection of dishes and usually I like to star my favourites.. but then I’d star all of them 🌟

We ordered:
😍 Gobi Manchurian - crispy batter fried cauliflower in a sweet, spicy and tangy sauce. I loved this! 👏

🪣 A bucket of Okra Fries - I could eat these forever 😍

🥔 Homemade samosa - baked, crispy samosas stuffed with potatoes and veggies and had a bit of a kick.

🌿 Palak paneer - huge cubes of paneer, in a pureed spinach curry sauce. There wasn’t too much heat to it so it a good one if you don’t love spice. I do but thought it was worth mentioning!

🧄 Garlic naan - thin, crispy and so flavoursome. Buttered well enough and I mopped up all of my curry up with it.

🍚 Chicken biryani - huge portion of chicken and rice with the perfect sauce. Mum loved it. Am I the only one who didn’t know it had a sauce..🤣 I’ll order a veggie one next time because I need to try it!

❤️ The staff at Tiffin Room were so friendly and we felt well looked after. I’ve been here a few times now and have loved it on every visit. I’d definitely recommend visiting here if you want some incredible Indian food. 👏

🍕Munchie Box for 2🍝

📍Litherland, Liverpool

Bella Pizza & Pasta are serving up some amazing Italian food and you definitely need to try it!

For just £30 you get:
2 pasta dishes
6” pizza
6” garlic bread
Fries
2 cans
And it’s so worth it. We were stuffed!

🍕 We ordered the margarita pizza and a cheesy garlic bread. Both had thin, crispy bases and were topped with plenty of cheese.

🍝 For the pastas we got the arrabbiata and linguini aglio e olio. The portions were so much bigger than they looked. The arrabbiata was full of chillies so had a good kick to it, and the linguine was full of prawns. Both went down a treat.

😍 The menu has lots to choose from whether it’s a munchie box for one or two, large pizzas, pastas, sides and desserts.

Bella Pizza & Pasta is open for delivery or collection on Thursday-Sunday evenings. It’s just a short drive away from the beach too so you could always pick up a box and take it down there one night! 👏

🐯 A trip to Tiger Rock 🐯

📍 Smithdown Road, Liverpool

Mum and I went to Tiger Rock Hawker a few weeks back for lunch and it was as good as ever in there. They have a great menu with lots of South East Asian small plates to choose from.

🍳 I ordered the Nasi Goreng which if you’ve not had it is fried rice with egg and prawn crackers, and lots of veggies and tofu jn there too. It’s full of flavour and I love it.

🍛 My other dish was the Thai green curry with tofu in. Delicious flavour and a kick of spice to it. I usually scoop some of the curry sauce into the nasi goreng too - so good.

🍤 Mum had the Thai green curry with prawns in and she loved it. Her second dish was the Cha Gio - Vietnamese spring rolls which are her favourite. I wish they had a veggie version of these because they look amazing.

📍 If you’ve not visited already, there are three locations available to visit in town and on Smithdown. They do a lunch menu where you can get 2 dishes for £15 between 12pm-5pm. Definitely something to take advantage of 😍

🎈Happy 10th birthday to Chamber 36! 🥳

📍 Berry Street, Liverpool City Centre

A well overdue post from my visit to Chamber Thirty Six Liverpool last month but better late than never! If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know I LOVE this restaurant and when I was told that they were bringing back their Thai green curry for a temporary period, I had to go!

We ordered:
🍛 Tofu Thai green curry (ofc that was the whole point)
🍚 Egg fried rice
🥦 Vegan toast
🌶️ Salt and pepper tofu
🥟 Sichuan dumplings
🍜 Singapore vermicelli
🍤 Prawn toast

😍 The Thai curry was as good as I remembered it being. It’s spiced perfectly to not blow your head off, the sauce is creamy and not too thin, and there’s lots of fresh veggies and plenty of tofu in there. It’s a 10/10 from me!! (Pls put it on the permanent menu again 🥲)

😋 The salt and pepper tofu was a good sized portion. The flavours are so moreish I could eat this for hours. The vegan toast was something I’d not had before. It was fried with broccoli inside and was nice but I would’ve liked the sesame seeds on top so it was more like prawn toast.

👏 Mum got her three dishes on the lunch menu which is 3 plates for £17. She loved all of the dishes. The dumplings were streamed and had port and cabbage in. She really liked the vermicelli noodles which had mixed meats in it. An all round great meal and only cost £17!

🥳 The staff were gearing up for the party when we were in there. All so friendly and a special shoutout to Jade who is the loveliest waitress (maybe ever?!?!). She’s always smiling and giving recommendations which is so nice because it makes a meal more enjoyable. A big thank you to Jade and to the whole the team for being one of my favourite restaurants for the last 10 years. Here’s to another 10! 👏🥳

🍹 Fare’s fab! 🍝

📍 Old Street, Farringdon

A weekend down south kicked off with a fabulous meal at FARE ∙ 11 Old Street. I’d been here once before and knew it was good so I had to go again. This time I went with my Mum and her two friends. Fare has a selection of Mediterranean inspired dishes to choose from and I’m happy to say that my second visit here was a hit! 👏

📸 Food snapped:
🍋 Lemon and mint risotto with arctichoke fritti
🦐 North Atlantic prawns
🍣 Smoken salmon with cucumber ribbon, capers and shallots
🍝 Lamb ragu pappardelle

🍋 The first time I visited I ordered the risotto, and I got it again knowing it was stunning. Thankfully it was just as good as I remembered.

🦐 Mum chose two small plates and loved them both. We couldn’t believe the size of the prawns given we were no where near the sea - wow.

🍝 The lamb each also went down well with Jackie and Janet. It was topped with lots of Parmesan and looked great!

🍹 The staff at the restaurant were all friendly, and served a great Aperol (or 4) for me and Jackie, and limoncello spritz for my mum.

💁‍♀️ Next time I visit, it’s going to be a tough choice between the risotto (for a third time) or one of their pizzas. I saw them coming out to other tables and got food envy because they looked so good. They have such a great, varied menu! Happy to go again will report back on the pizza 👏

🤩 What would you order?? Pasta, small plates or pizza.. so much on offer!

🇮🇹 Beautiful Botanico 🌺

📍Duke Street, Liverpool City Centre

On Friday evening, my family and I had a lovely a meal out at botanicodukestreet. It was my first time at the Duke Street venue since it changed from Il Forno, and we had a great time in there.

📸 Food snapped:
-Penne Pesto (with added burrata)
-Filetto di Manzo
-Tagliatelle Bolognese
-Mozzarella e B***o all’aglio
-Tiramisu
-Pancetta
-Gelato

🌿 The pesto pasta isn’t something I’d usually order out but it was delicious and creamy with the added burrata on top. I’d recommend this for any veggies heading there.

🥩 The fillet steak was more rare than medium (as requested) but my Dad still enjoyed it. It came with peppercorn sauce, broccoli and a few fondant potatoes which were included in the price.

👏 Overall we loved the food. The cheesy garlic breads were stunning - I think I managed a whole one!
We even had room for puddings which I didn’t need to think twice about after seeing the dessert counter. Tiramisu was getting ordered straight away and it was worth it 👏

🌺 The interior of the restaurant had lots of florals and greenery all around the restaurant which makes it look gorgeous in there. Of course very fitting to the name 🌺

🙋‍♀️ My one request is a long shot but I’ll still ask.. Please could you consider putting the cacio e pepe on the menu that was in Il Forno. I loved it! 🥰

Have you visited Botanico? If not, you should!! It’s definitely somewhere I would recommend for some fabulous Italian food in Liverpool city centre, or you can head to their Woolton Village location. It’s just as fab in there 😍

🍳🥓 One of the best brekkies in Liverpool - and that’s a Fact 😉☕️

📍Wood Street, Liverpool City Centre

🥰 On Sunday, my mum and I walked into town to work up an appetite for our breakfast at Moi Bakeshop . When I tell you we LOVED it, I mean it!! Wow.

🤩 We were recommended two of the new additions to the menu so went ahead and ordered the Moi full breakfast and the Moi vegetarian breakfast. I think the photos speak for themselves, but let me hype them up because both breakfasts were incredible.

😍 Firstly, the portion size was huge. Very much appreciated after a long walk, and would go down a treat on most mornings. The breakfasts were priced between £14-£15.50 which is a little expensive but for the amount of food and great service.. I would pay it!

🍳 The breakfasts had everything I could’ve wanted on them. The basics of fried eggs, roast tomato, garlic mushrooms, homemade beans and thick sourdough toast were all perfectly cooked. Special shout out for the crispiest mini hash browns - perfectly salted and there was so many of them 😍

🥓 For the regular dish, there was crispy bacon and two big sausages that mum enjoyed while the veggie dish had two thick pieces of halloumi and half a sliced avocado. Both of which I loveeeed!!

☕️ To drink, I had an iced tiramisu latte - gorgeous, creamy, and had a lady finger on top too. Realllly good.
☕️ Mum got a lovely mocha with some beautiful latte art on top by the talented barista. Always impressed me 👏

🥰 The staff in Moi were all really friendly and you should know by now that I love that in a place. When the passion for their business, food and drinks is so prominent, I love the restaurant instantly.

📍 Moi is located at the back of the Fact cinema, or you can enter from the wood street side. They told me that their bakery will be opening in September/October time and I definitely can’t wait to go in and try their bakes. The pastries and desserts they had looked great so excited for what else they’ll be making!! I’ll be back very very soon👏🤩

🇨🇳 Another trip to Chinatown 🇨🇳

📍Chinatown, London

I was kindly invited down to on Newport Place to try some of their dishes and obviously since I love Chinese food, I couldn’t wait to get there to try it.

Maddy and I ordered:
🌽 Sweetcorn soup
🥟 Vegetable gyoza
🍤 Pork and prawn dumplings
🥦 Mixed vegetables
🦆 Sliced duck Cantonese style
🍚 Fried rice
🍜 Veggie soft noodles
🍥 Prawn crackers

-The gyozas were crispy, and portion size was huge. Loved them!
-Soup was thick and moreish after I added some soy sauce and white pepper - yum!
-Maddy said the duck was really good, and loved the sauce it was in.
-She loved the steamed dumplings too!
-The mixed vegetables dish was really good, everything fresh and crunchy. Would’ve been nice if this came with rice or noodles but instead we had to order the side separately which meant the meal was more expensive.

🫣Whilst the food was great, the service wasn’t too good. When we arrived, the staff weren’t happy for us to head inside (to speak to someone) and shouted us back, then we did feel a bit forgotten about when in there. At the end, a Google review barcode was given to us and it was like they didn’t want us to leave until we’d filled it out.. a bit of a strange ending but I posted that their food is food so 🤷‍♀️

I probably wouldn’t rush back because of the service but the food was good so if you can get a table in there, you’ll enjoy it!

Note: Restaurant kindly gifted me £50 and we paid the remainder of the bill. Total was £81 with a water and coke included. Expensive but that’s London! 💁‍♀️

🍹 Goldies is open! 🍕

📍Colquitt Street, Liverpool City Centre

🤗 Goldie’s pizza shop has opened its second location after their pizza slices were flying out of the kitchen in Pins. They’ve got tv screens for all things sport, they’ve got cocktails and spritz’, and I think it’s going to be a great addition to our city.

🍕 Goldie’s pizzas are 22inches and the slices are bigger than my head! You can get a full pizza or pick and choose a few slices. The base is thin and crispy, with a crunchy outer crust. There’s a few dips to choose from.. I liked the blue cheese one and the pesto one. The ### hot sauce obviously blew my head off so approach with caution ⚠️

🍕 Being the veggie I am, I tried a couple of slices of the margarita, and a tomato pie slice too. My friends had the American hot and the Joey which looked amazing. Everyone was loving the slices.

🍊 To drink I had a few Aperol spritz which were stun, and a frozen peach margarita which was perfect in this heat. I will definitely be back for those soon!

⚽️ They’ve got the football on this weekend so if you’re looking for a place to watch the World Cup matches, definitely make a visit up to Goldie’s!

🤗 The staff in at Goldie’s were really friendly and handled the busy event very well. Loved the vibes in the shop and can’t wait to visit again soon. 👏
