🐢 Turtle Bay 🏝️

📍 Victoria Street, Liverpool City Centre

Last weekend, Connor and I visited to try some of their small plates and cocktails and we had the best time. I was in my element when Connor said to order what I thought sounded good.. but everything sounded (and was) great!!

Drinks pictured 📸
🍹 Passionfruit rumtini
🍸 Tingaling
🍹 Sarti spritz
🍸 Coffee Rumtini

🥂 We started with some cocktails which were strong and delicious. We tried a few different ones, and agreed we have to go back for their bottomless brunch. There was another table in there and they were having a ball!! 👏

🙋‍♀️ The main event… the sharing plates were stunning! We had a good selection and it was hard to choose a few so defo over ordered.. oops!

Food pictured 📸
🌽 Sweetcorn fritters
🫓 Trini doubles
🌶️ Tamarind pork
🧀 Baked goats cheese
🍟 Loaded jerk fries
🦑 Crispy squid

🥰 Our server was really friendly, explained the menu to us and told us we chose well when we’d ordered so I was even more excited for the food👏

🌟 Connor LOVED the tamarind pork, and I LOVED the trini doubles, but honestly, everything was incredible and I’d order it all again. The food coma was real and I had no regrets in eating every last bit that I could manage! Props to the chefs who created some incredible flavours in each dish we tried!

🐢 has got so much on offer. Sharing set menus, bottomless brunches and little ones eat free when you spend £15 on a meal. There’s something for everyone and I can guarantee you’ll find something you love on their menu. Get yourself booked in ASAP! 👏

🆕🥙 Two new vendors have opened at Box Park 🌯👏

📍Cains Brewery Village, Baltic Triangle, Liverpool

🔊 Just when you thought there was enough choice of food at they’ve only gone and added two new amazing traders for us to be even more spoilt for choice!

🥧 First up, I’m going to shout about who are serving up some incredible pies. As a veggie, I don’t often get an option to have a pie so I went straight in for a big cheese pie. It was stunning. 👏

🧀 Great pastry, really delicious filling and the mash, mushy peas and gravy were fab too. Next time I’m going for the Vegan Kiss which is samosa filling and sounds great. They have lots of meat options too, and sides to swap and change from. A great new addition to Box Park!

🧆 Mum ordered from , which I’m looking forward to trying next time. They have wraps, salad boxes, burgers and sandwiches to choose from.

🌯 Mum ordered the chicken and falafel wrap which was stuffed full of salad. It was so filling and had great flavours. The colours made it for me!

🍟 We also shared a side of halloumi and some cheesy chips which were the crispiest chips I’ve ever had. Loved them.

⚽️ Box park are going to be showing the World Cup matches over the next few weeks, and I’m sure hosting many other events in the meantime… so what I’m saying is get yourself down there and get ordering from their brilliant new vendors!! You’ll love what they’ve got on offer 🥰

🍫The Chocolate Cocktail Club🍸

📍 Farringdon, London

On my last trip down to London, I was kindly invited down to to try out some of their amazing creations and I have to say I was impressed 👏

🤔 Initially I thought 3 chocolate cocktails would be too heavy and I’d be done in after 1 but I am so pleased that I was wrong. I loved each one that I tried and would order all of them again! 🥳

We ordered:
🍓 Shamazing strawberry
🔺Toblerone
👑 Caramel king x2
🥜 The Ferrero
☕️ The tipsy tiramisu

💕 Each one had something different going on. From chocolate sprinkled rims, chocolates pieces in the drink and strawberries on top, I loved how they looked.

🥰 I think my favourite was the tipsy tiramisu, but it was very hard to pick one because they were all so good.

🍰 They also do an afternoon tea with the most gorgeous looking sandwiches and cakes. The perfect sweet treat to overindulge in!! What are you waiting for?? Get yourself booked in 👏

🍫 Which one would you try?? Picture of menu is on the last slide x

🍔 £15 burger and fries… go on then 🍟💁‍♀️

📍 Farringdon, London

After a few great cocktails in London a few weeks back, I was made up that Faye had spotted right near Farringdon station. I set high expectations for the food, and they were met!

🍔 I ordered the Tandoori Paneer Burger. Something a bit different, and it was delicious. The paneer was marinated in various spices, and the burger had curry mayo on top that I loved. With lettuce, gherkins, tomato, crispy and red onions, it was a messy one and I ate every last bit.

🍟 Every last one of the fries was crispy and I demolished them too. The were coated in a light salt that made them even better.

🍔 Faye ordered “The Next Level Burger” which was a smashed double beef patty with American cheese and sriracha mayo on top. A little bit of a kick to it but Faye said it was really good.

💰£15 for a burger and fries in a restaurant in London is so good imo. We added drinks, and there ofc was a service charge but overall - reasonably priced!

🇬🇷 5 years of Laros! 🥳

📍Bold Street, Liverpool City Centre

🎈 On Saturday, Connor and I headed down to Bold Street to celebrate 5th birthday. The vibes were high with a DJ outside playing music for the street, and customers were filling the place!

We ordered:
🥙Chicken Gyros Box Meal
🫓Talgani Cheese Fries Gyros
🫒Greek Salad

🤩 Everything was so fresh and delicious.
I made a mess eating my gyros of course, but I was excited to be eating it. I’d forgotten just how good they are. It had fries, talagani (similar to halloumi but better), lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and a tasty sauce. So good!!

🥗 The Greek salad was stunning too - feta cheese covering the olives, huge tomatoes, cucumber and green peppers. Can’t go wrong with this on a hot day 👏

☀️ If you’re looking for some great food for lunch or tea out soon, Laros is a perfect place to go for the summery weather we’re having. I’m going back as soon as I can because I need those talalgani fries again!

🇬🇷 Unfortunately I didn’t win the free holiday to Greece, but I did see the guy who won that and the place erupted when he spun the wheel to land on that. So much excitement! 🥰

💕 Thank you for the invite down and , I can’t wait to go back very soon!

🍹 The new cocktail menu has landed at Sister Ray 🍸

📍 Wolstenholme Square, Liverpool City Centre

‼️ Today is the Thirsty Thursday before a bank holiday weekend. What I’m hearing there is that you need to get yourself into town for a cocktail or 10 and .bar are ready to serve them to you!

🌟 Sister Ray’s bartenders have perfected the new menu “Life Used To Be Cinematic”. Each of the team got a two page spread each to developing some fantastic cocktails with incredible flavours.

📸 Pictured 📸
💁‍♀️ Fashion is my passion
-Nostalgic and sweet!

🌴 Tropical hippo
-Sweet and fruity.. ofc I liked it!

🍺 Weeknight social
-Fruity and don’t let the ipa put you off because it was really nice.

💪 Atalanta
-Strong, heavy but gooood.

💨 Atomic sour
-Smokey and sour.. I really liked this one!

☕️ Fourth wave
-Mum’s favourite, like a morning coffee with alcohol in it 🤣

🥰 The service in there was stunning. The bartenders really knew what they were talking about. They were recommending cocktails, letting me know which ones I’d prefer based on my preferences. Really great service!!

🇮🇹🍝 I finally tried Emilia’s Pasta.. And now you should too 😉🇮🇹

📍Canary Wharf, London

👏 After being on my list of restaurants to visit for over a year, I finally got the chance to visit . It was in my “Canary Wharf” saved folder 4 times because so many of you foodies had convinced me to go.

🍅 We shared the bruschetta and some toasted sourdough to start. The bruschetta was really fresh and a mix of colourful tomatoes. We were given extra oil and balsamic to dip the bread in too.
Our mains arrived when we still had the starters so I could use it to mop up my pasta sauce. I didn’t mind that so much but the table for two was full of dishes 🤣

🍝 I ordered the homemade tomato sauce with basil and topped with a 100g ball of burrata. The pasta shape was “Radiatori” which I hadn’t tried before. Its ridges filled up with the sauce and each mouthful with a bit of burrata was incredible. Creamy, fresh and I wish I was eating it again now. 😍

🍝 Faye ordered the Truffled Cacio E Pepe. Usually I get this dish.. you know that, but I don’t love truffle so didn’t chance it. Faye loved it. She said it was really peppery, and the truffle wasn’t that strong (but I could still smell it🫣).

🍹 We didn’t have room for dessert, but I’ll take time to praise the Aperol Spritz because obviously I had to order one 💁‍♀️

🧐 The restaurant had a very busy atmosphere, and I did feel slightly rushed to choose my food and when the mains came out before starters were finished but I guess that’s the hustle and bustle of Canary Wharf so I’ll let them off 🤷‍♀️

🍝 Which pasta would you choose?

🥪 An oldie but goodie… it’s the The Good Ol’ Deli 🥪

📍 Shoreditch, London

💁‍♀️ Not that old of a place, but one I have raved about before. is consistent for its fabulous sandwiches and always sorts me out when I’m down in London.

🍅 I ordered the Caprese, and added rocket to the mozzarella, tomato and basil pesto sandwich. The sourdough bread was toasted perfectly - crunchy crusts and a fluffy middle. The flavours in the sandwich are delicious and it’ll always be my go-to.

🧀 I’ll give the cheese toastie a shout out too because that chilli jam and cheese mix with some soup is a banging combo!

🥰 The staff are always welcoming and friendly, and deal with the lunch time rush like troopers everyday 💪

💰 The Caprese usually costs £6.50 but I added rocket so it was like £7 or just over. Very good pricing for London, and worth every penny!

💾 Save this post to your places to visit in Shoreditch for your next lunch. You won’t be disappointed 👏

🍳🍔 Brekkie Buns 🍔🥓

📍Bold Street, Liverpool City Centre

I took another trip to today, but this time to try their breakfast dishes and for a catch up with .recommends 🥰

🍔 We both ordered the Schloss breakfast buns. Mine veggie, and Emma’s the classic one. The menu had pancakes, full breakfasts, avocados and eggs and shakshuka on so I’ll have to go back to try more of it.

🍳 Veggie option was made up of moving mountains sausage, cheese, fried egg, hash browns, spinach and their bier chilli sauce which had a nice kick to it! The classic had bacon on it instead of the sausage.

👏 We both agreed the mini crispy hash browns were the best thing on the bun. I could eat 10 of them but everything on the bun was delicious. 😋
