Meet Poppy – our loyal farm dog!
Everyone who meets her can’t help but fall in love with her cheerful spirit. She’s always thrilled to see visitors… and, of course, she never forgets to leave a stick right behind them 😊
Poppy may be getting older now, but her legacy lives on through her son Teddy and her daughter Bonnie.

A little bit about what we do with focus on “the Importance Of Sustainable Farming for the environment”.
We use a combination of aquaculture and hydroponics that come together as Aquaponics.
Aquaponics is a highly sustainable method of agriculture. Industry experts say Aquaponics uses 90% less water than traditional farming and so we decided to grow in the most environmentally and sustainable way possible.
90% of our lettuce grown on the farm are from organic seeds, using a developed commercial aquaponic system.
We have a mix of Rainbow Trout and Koi Carp - their waste is recycled and used for plant growth using the nitrogen cycle. The water is recirculated in a closed loop system with no further need for addition of fertilisers and pesticides. The system runs continuously for 24 hours a day and only topped up with fresh water as and when needed.
Our Aquaponics system requires quite a lot of maintenance from us, such as seeding, aquaculture and system maintenance, particularly regarding the filtration systems.
The primary benefit to commercial Aquaponics farming is being environmentally responsible with low water and power usage.
To take it a step further, we added solar panels to the farmhouse over a year ago, which means the entire system is powered by solar during the day. In addition, any food waste from the production goes to feed our chickens.
