Huge day at PW! Our yearly order of Walter Hansel has arrived, including some wines we haven’t previously stocked. In case you didn’t know, Walter Hansel is the only producer we import ourselves and this is our third year of bringing them over from California! We bloody love these wines and love showing them off so there’ll be more posts dedicated to these wines, but for now we’re just celebrating their arrival with a glass of the new Walter Hansel rosé!

Not only is this a new wine for the shop but also a totally new producer, how exciting. Archery Summit is based in Dundee Hills, a sub-AVA within the Willamette Valley, and focuses purely on Pinot Noir. This is the ideal wine to introduce Archery Summit with as it’s a blend of all five of their estate vineyards, showing the flavour of the entire estate.

Anyone who has drunk Gavin Chanin’s wines before knows that he makes some of the best Pinot Noir and Chardonnay coming out of Sta. Rita Hills at the moment and this wine is no different. This is his 2022 Chardonnay from the Los Alamos vineyard, the same vineyard that produces the Chenin Pinot Noir that we stock. Gavin’s wines are fantastic in their youth but also age brilliantly so it might be worth grabbing two so you can experience the wine at both stages

You’ve been loving the Fundamental Pinot Noir and Chardonnay lately so in time for the weather cooling down we now have the Cabernet Sauvignon from the same range. The Fundamental range is a part of the Tensley brand, but with value being the focus so that people can enjoy great wine everyday.

New wine! Tyler winery is run by Justin Willett, who also runs Lieu Dit and is involved in Racines (brands that we love having on our shelf). Tyler winery focusses on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with some Syrah being made recently, that show off the very best of Sta. Rita Hills terroir. Justin’s other wines have been very well received in the shop so we wanted to get another of his brilliant bottles on our shelf.

Very excited to announce a new producer has landed on our shelves! Lingua Franca makes use of the incredible terroir of the Willlamette Valley and produces structured and refined Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Come grab a bottle, both for the delicious wine inside and the beautiful label on the front!
