🥃 What Makes a Lowland Single Malt?

Scotland has five wh**ky-producing regions, each with its own character. Here in Falkirk, we're proud to be part of the Lowlands.

But what does that actually mean?

Traditionally, Lowland whiskies are known for being lighter, softer and more approachable than many of their Highland or Island counterparts.
Often described as elegant and easy-drinking, Lowland single malts are a fantastic introduction to Scotch wh**ky, but they also offer plenty of complexity for seasoned wh**ky lovers.

At Falkirk Distillery, our spirit reflects both our Lowland heritage and the unique character of our site. Crafted using water from our own artesian well and produced in the heart of historic Falkirk.

Have you tried a Lowland Single Malt before? Tell us your favourite in the comments.

I just picked up an excellent wh**ky book which I haven’t read for years.
In the last page I found this book marker and on it were the ‘chapters’ of evolving spirits of The English Distillery
It is amazing how far English wh**ky has come since the Distillery launched their first single malt in December 2009.
