Join us for our Spring Tasting at Ealing Wine Cellars.
An evening of tasting, attentive discovery and thoughtful conversation. From the first sparkle of Champagne to the depth of a full-bodied red, our Spring Tasting follows a gentle rhythm designed to let each wine shine.
Wednesday 11 March 2026 | 6–8pm Ealing Cross Building, W5 Tickets £25, redeemable against any wine order.
To prepare for the evening, we have put together a wine tasting guide, the same approach we follow throughout the tasting.
Story Wine tasting is about more than technique. It is about understanding the journey in your glass. Inspired by years of tasting and a touch of wisdom from Jancis Robinson, we have put together a guide to help you savour each step from the first sparkle of Champagne to the depth of a red.
Reading the story behind each wine, its producer, vineyard or vintage, brings clarity and connection. Wine is an agricultural product first, a luxury second. Every soil, climate and human touch leaves its mark.
The Flow Start light, end with weight. Champagne first, whites next, reds last. Lighter wines are easily overshadowed if tasted too late, so the order matters.
Look first, smell twice, sip slowly. Hold the glass by the stem, pour only a quarter, and let each wine reveal itself.
Be Present A tasting is as much about conversation as it is about flavour. Ask questions, take notes and enjoy the discussion. Expertise guides, but your enjoyment leads.
