This is no ordinary Cotes du Rhone Villages. It is from a piece of land, with very specific characteristics, called Plan de Dieu and is shared & attributed to only 4 villages that can use it's name.

It is perhaps one of my favourite bottles of wine because of the sheer depth of flavour and character that it has. Made by two winemaking brothers from Chateauneuf du Pape, you know that it heralds from a supreme wine terroir DNA.

It is listed on my website at £16.75 but I am really doing it a great injustice because for a 2019 it just keeps improving. I will be classifying this wine into our Vintage Collection next month when the price will increase but if anyone would like to try one, I will hold this price until the end of the month as a gesture of goodwill and good faith.

Please don't be offended if we limit purchases to a maximum of 2 per customer. It really is that good.

FREN is a white wine taking its name from its two producers Francesco and Enza of Fezzigna winery in Calabria.
Calabrian wines don't get much of a look in over here but wines from the Ciro wine region are very rewarding. Fezzigna recently got recognition for their wines from Gambero Rosso in Italy (the Italian wine equivalent of the Michelin guide)

FREN is a white wine from Calabrian winemakers Fezzigna and named after this beautiful winemaking couple Francesco and ENza.
Calabria produces some wonderful wines but is under-represented and often overlooked in the UK. It really shouldn't be.

FREN is a white wine by Francesco and Enza of the Fezzigna winery in Calabria, Italy that recently got a very prestigious recognition from Gambero Rosso (the Michelin equivalent wine guide in Italy).
The wine is fittingly named after this beautiful couple who happen to be amazing and passionate winemakers from a region that quite ironically does not get enough love on the global wine stage.

"Boat Drinks"...I couldn't resist the opportunity to do a wine tasting with friends on an old sailing yacht off the coast of Thailand. I selected a Soave Classico 2021 by artisanal winemakers Cornelia Tessari. It's made with the delicious golden Garganega grape variety with its hints of stone fruit, citrus and beautifully balanced acidity.

Nothing will stand in my way as I continue my quest to take on the big supermarkets and online retailers peddling you crap wine.
