First time entering and we RAN away with three awards! 🏃‍♂️

We entered the producer category at the Food Drink Devon Awards 2026/27 for the very first time and picked up GOLD for our House Espresso and Session Brew, plus SILVER for our House Decaf 🏆

A lot of love goes into every bag of Sanctuary Coffee, so seeing our coffee recognised here in Devon feels extra special ❤️

This last week has been incredibly special!

We bagged a few golds at our first outing at the Food Drink Devon | Local food & drink news awards for our House Espresso, Session Brew and a silver for our House Decaf 🏆

Marcus completed another lap around the sun and a table of strangers became our singing friends ☀️

Ocean and Mackenzie absolutely smashed it on Saturday 👯‍♀️

We teamed up with the incredibly talented Harley Maryon for another shoot 📸

We visited the brilliant Watcombe Wanderers Yellows U11s for a kick around (more on that soon) ⚽️

Ocean got into the spooky season mood putting the pumpkin in (or rather on) PSL 🎃

Despite having a very important wedding to attend Marcus couldn’t resist a pit stop at the shop for a batch and a croissant 💒

We treated ourselves to a few slices of The Funky Anchovy which we made light work of 🍕

Rhian’s green thumbs came in handy for our seasonal hanging plants 🪴

And although not photographed, we even managed to find the time for a flying visit around our old stomping ground and catch up with our brilliant friends at Coffee + Ice Cream Gather Nunhead | refills + zero waste and pulp. ☕️

Happy belated 31st birthday to the main man himself, Marcus!

Marcus lives and breathes Sanctuary, his dedication to building this business is on another level and he works tirelessly to champion quality and make our mission a success.

We spent his birthday at the Food Drink Devon awards (more on that in another post!). We only submitted for the producer category this year so it really was an evening to celebrate Marcus. Judged on a blind taste test, the awards we received were purely as a result of his hard work.

Our wish for Marcus is that he discovers the true meaning of a day off before his 50th! 🤞🏻

It’s tiiiiiiiime 🎶 🎄 In a world of AI slop, we wanted to hold a competition to inspire the artists of tomorrow, today!

We are looking for a little artist to draw their best festive turkey 🦃 to feature on our Christmas coffee for 2026, ‘Prize Turkey’.

Simply pick up an entry form in our Cockington shop or from Blume and return it to either location by October 18th to be in with a chance!

Prize: Design featured on our Christmas coffee bag and a prize bundle.

Rules: Open to under 12, entry forms handed in must have names and parent contact details 😊

Our charity work is often a secondary discovery when visitors to our shop try our coffee - so we’ve put our name impact front and centre 🐾

3x new lots from Quebraditas Coffee Farm and Finca Cultivares will be in our subscriptions at the end of the month and they’re tasting wild.

You’ll spot her every now and then at our Cockington Village shop too because guess what? She’s also a super talented barista ✨

Session Brew has been with us since day one. It’s the fruitier cousin to our House Espresso.

If Session Brew were a shirt, it would be Hawaiian. If it were hands, jazz; and if it were a glass: always half full.

The goal for Session Brew is to be bright, colourful and always fun. You know, like wearing a Hawaiian shirt whilst listening to jazz?

Tomorrow, Session Brew getting a fresh update from one of our favourite coffee producing countries: Rwanda 🇷🇼

This one reminds us of sherbets, lemon and bergamot. It’s sweet, bright and full of zing. Remember the jazz hands? 🍬 🍋 🍊 🎷
