They’ve just launched a Midweek Combo Deal - any pizza, a side of fries and two drinks for £20 (Monday - Thursday). Perfect for after work catch-ups, low key date nights or a spontaneous dinner plan✨

By day, it’s also a great work from home and coffee spot💻

Sunday lunching 🥩

The chateaubriand was unbelievable, cooked to perfection and packed with flavour and the cauliflower cheese was genuinely unreal. The gravy was spot on too, and the roasties were exactly how they should be: beautifully crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle.

The roast came with a great selection of sides, and it was brilliant that most of them were included in the price.

Service was friendly and attentive, and there was a lovely vibe in the place in general.

Amazing food, great atmosphere, and faultless all round…what more could you want?

HAUSU, Peckham Rye

is an exquisite dining experience in a beautiful, dimly lit space - bar at the front, open kitchen in the middle, and a cosy dining room at the back. The staff were genuinely lovely, knowledgeable, and attentive. Cocktails were playful twists on classics, and the whole meal was elevated by jazzy vinyl and front-row views of the kitchen in full swing🍸

We had:
🦐Scallop & Prawn Toast
🐟Tuna, Soy, Limeleaf, Citrus
🥩Ox Heart Ragu on Toast
🧀Lamb agnolotti, parmesan cream, hot green sauce, fresh mint and bay oil
🥔Ratte Potatoes, Miso Confit Garlic
🥬Flourish Salad, Tropea Onion, Parmesan

What a pub 🤎🦊

The place has a proper cosy feel, log fire going, relaxed atmosphere, and genuinely welcoming staff. One of those pubs you walk into and instantly think, yeah, this is going to be good!

The food was the real standout. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and clearly made with quality ingredients. There were six of us, so we ended up trying a good mix of dishes, and not a single one missed the mark. The menu isn’t huge, but every dish felt considered and they execute them really well.

To start we had….

🥚 Scotch egg with black pudding, parsley sauce & dill pickles, absolutely excellent
🍞 Chicken liver pâté with sourdough & caramelised onion chutney
🍗 Fried chicken with whiskey BBQ sauce
🥦 Crispy chilli cauliflower — surprisingly one of the favourites of the night

Mains:
🍔 The Fox Burger: smash-style, full of flavour, thick bacon, proper skin-on fries
🥩 Welsh Sirloin Steak with truffle + peppercorn sauces, cooked perfectly, packed with flavour, and the truffle fries were spot on
🍛 Butter Chicken with Green Pickle Salad: gorgeous, loads of flavour, and a great lighter option if you don’t want something too heavy

We were too full for dessert, but they sounded great, which just means we’ll have to go back.

All in all, a cracking little pub and 100% worth the trip. 🤎

We had lunch at in Clifton, and honestly, it reminded me exactly why this place has been one of my all-time favourites for years🍕🍝

From the moment you walk in, the vibe is just something else, effortlessly cool, welcoming, and full of that buzzy energy that makes you instantly happy to be there.

Now, onto the food… wow. I consider myself somewhat of a carbonara connoisseur at this point, and Bosco’s version is firmly in my top three. Perfectly cooked pasta, crispy salty pancetta, and just the right hit of Parmesan, it’s everything you want in a carbonara.

The beef shin ragù? Speechless. Deep, rich, melt-in-your-mouth goodness. And don’t even get me started on the garlic bread, it’s unreal.

We paired everything with their lovely house rosé, which was light, fresh, and perfect for a leisurely lunch.

And the best news? Bosco is coming to Cardiff soon ..I genuinely cannot wait!🤍

Dates & Steaks at ❤️🥩

What a midweek treat! Their new Dates & Steaks menu is the perfect excuse for a midweek date night … available Wednesdays & Thursdays from 3pm, with 3 courses from just £35.50!

To start we had:
Soy & Mirin Pork Belly – chargrilled and packed with flavour
Sticky Chipotle Chicken – WOW, sweet, spicy & so good

For the mains:
You can’t go wrong with their famous lettuce wedge (we had the Parmesan & garlic dressing )
🥩8oz Sirloin with fries, onion loaf & white port sauce
🥩8oz Fillet with chunky chips & beef dripping sauce - honestly, that sauce was next level, I’m still thinking about it 🤤

Then onto dessert:
Finished off with a gooey Chocolate Brownie and honeycomb ice cream,the perfect ending!

The steaks were cooked beautifully, the staff were so knowledgeable & helpful with recommendations, and the atmosphere was just lovely. Such great value for money for a special midweek treat ❤️

A little day trip to Hereford meant we had to check out 🍔

I’d been seeing it all over Instagram and couldn’t resist. It’s such a cool space, an open outdoor courtyard where they host events, surrounded by independent gems like , and (which you can order from while you’re there).

We went straight for the Burger Shop and wow… it did not disappoint. We had:
🍔 Double bacon cheeseburger
🍗 Weekly special: buttermilk chicken with tomato sauce, pesto & mozzarella
🍟 Sweet potato fries with aioli

Everything was absolutely insane…definitely worth the hype.

Bonus points: they even have a pooch menu! Wilfy tucked into scrambled eggs & sausage (which not only made him very happy but also gave us a chance to enjoy our food in peace 😅).

If you’re planning a visit to Hereford, put The Yard on your list, you won’t regret it!

Always the most amazing breakfast, this time we went for:

🐷Overnight bacon Benedict: croissant scroll, poached eggs, overnight bacon & Hollandaise sauce
🍳Turkish baked eggs: baked eggs served in a rich spiced tomato shakshuka sauce with feta & sourdough

Along with 2 fabulous flat whites☕️

is a beautiful Italian restaurant tucked away in Mayfair🍴

We had the three course set menu:
- Insalata di Fi*****io - Fennel, Rocket, Aged Pecorino, Caramelised Walnut & Calabrian Chilli
- Arancini - ‘Nduja Spicy Salami & Mozzarella

- Margherita alla Bufala - Buffalo Margherita
- Polpette Reali - Veal & Beef Meatballs, San Marzano Tomato & Grated Caciocavallo Cheese

- Cheesecake al Forno - Sour Cherry
- Panna Cotta Salted Caramel
