Something a little different from us next week.

On Tuesday 23rd June, Rushton's will be at the Essex Schools Food and Farming Day at ARU Writtle alongside our parent company S. Thorogood and Sons, spending the day with 3,000 primary school children, talking about fresh produce, seasonality and where food really comes from.

Our stand will be packed with seasonal British vegetables, name cards and a very popular lucky dip, can you guess the vegetable just from how it feels? It is one of the most enjoyable things we do, and a good reminder of why the quality and provenance of fresh produce matters beyond the professional kitchen.
