Anyone else taking advantage of the late summer vibes ?! 🤩🪴🇫🇷

The September sunlight is hitting the herb garden in the most perfect way 🌿☀️ Just love it!☺️
Everything is still growing so strong and lush and fabulous. ☺️

I couldn't resist grabbing a huge handful of basil - I’m going all in for Friday night fresh pesto pasta .
Thats a pretty mean kick start to the weekend I reckon 🕺😃🙌

Adding a bit of spice to the garden! 🌶️✨

Super happy with my Thai chilli plant! It’s doing its job pretty well in its own pot, having made it through several heatwaves and some impressively hot September days — that’s a nice harvest of red chillies especially considering I’ve already taken a fair few over the summer !🌶️🌿🔥🤣
I’m thinking use some, freeze some, dry some 🤔

There’s nothing quite like growing your own ingredients to bring a little extra kick to the kitchen! 👨‍🍳🌶️

I find the general reaction to heat in food super interesting here in France, especially in terms of different palates and what is considered "spicy"…

Anyone else been having fun in the kitchen? 🤩😄

Flour, laughter and a whole host of breads … what more could you ask for? 🍞✨🤣🤩

There’s nothing quite like spending the day in the kitchen with an amazing group, getting our hands floury, baking fresh breads from scratch, and finishing it off with a feast of fabulously filled rolls together! Happy days! 😃

Huge thanks to this super fun group for bringing so much energy and smiles to the kitchen! 🙌😄

Well, that was so much fun! 🤩😄

Malves was the finish line for the day, for the 24th Tour de l'Aude Handisport! 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♀️

For those who don't know, this inspiring annual event brings together 50 adaptive cyclists (and 30 volunteers) covering 300 km in 4 days across the Aude region to promote inclusion, accessibility, and disability sports.

Malves was right there to give them a super warm welcome at the end of their long day on the road... and then hosted everyone for a fabulous evening of laughter and delicious food. Such a brilliant night!

I'm not sure who enjoyed it more... I think it might just be those two adorable dogs in their goggles, taking in the ride in their front basket AND the evening shenanigans! 🐶🕶️🤣🤣

A huge thank you to the Mairie de Malves and of course everyone involved with the Tour de l'Aude Handisport.

AAANNDDD a huge shout-out to the fabulous caterer... that meal was an absolute winner! (Who, by the way, is also responsible for possibly the BEST pizza in the area... if you haven't already, check out Bonissimo in Trèbes, you won't regret it!!!!)

The oysters, on the other hand…
I’m wondering if they are a bit of a Marmite-type conundrum…
I LOVE a fresh prawn… struggle somewhat with an oyster though! 🦪🤷‍♀️

What say you on the oyster front? 🤔 Love ‘em or hate ‘em??
