Blat Vodka submitted its spirit to an independent laboratory accredited by the US Alcohol and To***co Tax and Trade Bureau and published the results.

0.0 mg/L of detected impurities. Not close to zero. Zero.

Grey Goose: 1.1 mg/L
Absolut: 1.1 mg/L
Smirnoff: 1.5 mg/L
Belvedere: 2.5 mg/L
Blat: 0.0 mg/L

Made in Gran Canaria by the Banus brothers using French non-GMO wheat and water filtered through Canarian volcanic rock. The bottle was designed by the same studio whose work hangs in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

About 300,000 bottles sold every year in Germany, Switzerland and the US. Almost nobody in the UK has heard of it yet.

Most gins tell you about the botanicals. Obsidian tells you about the water.
It is made using horizontal rain, a phenomenon where Atlantic sea clouds meet the volcanic slopes of the Canary Islands and precipitate as a fine mist that seeps through ancient lava rock before it is collected. That is the water in every bottle.
The botanicals are Canarian too. Mango from La Gomera. Pineapple from El Hierro. Juniper-led in the London Dry tradition, but with a volcanic warmth underneath that nothing made in Britain or Europe can match.
